His blind ambition, however, makes him the perfect target for the archmages’ machinations, and Quldald of the Whirlwind has the perfect use for the troubled boy. Likewise, the Japanese government is desperate to resurrect their greatest weapon—Devicer Three. Meanwhile, the crew arrives in Indonesia to investigate a dormant Asura and a mysterious power sleeping within Aliya. There, they meet Devicer Five, a prickly girl by the name of Zhou Xueli who’s looking to build an elite team to end the war once and for all. In particular, her eyes are set upon Devicer Three and the key she’s been looking for—a Replicant. Everyone wants something, and Yu Ichinose seems to have it. To what lengths they’re willing to go to take it, he doesn’t know, but he’ll have to be ready to do anything to defend those he cares about. Even if it means fighting a fellow Devicer.

Book excerpt: In New York Times bestselling author Daniel Suarez's latest space-tech thriller, a group of pioneering astropreneurs must overcome never-before-attempted engineering challenges to rescue colleagues stranded at a distant asteroid—kicking off a new space race in which Earth's climate crisis could well hang in the balance. When unforeseen circumstances during an innovative—and unsanctioned—commercial asteroid-mining mission leave two crew members stranded, those who make it back must engineer a rescue, all while navigating a shifting web of global political alliances and renewed Cold War tensions. With Earth governments consumed by the ravages of climate change and unable to take the risks necessary to make rapid progress in space, the crew must build their own nextgen spacecraft capable of mounting a rescue in time for the asteroid's next swing by Earth. In the process they'll need to establish the first spin-gravity station in deep space, the first orbiting solar power satellite and refinery, and historic infrastructure on the moon's surface—all of which could alleviate a deepening ecological, political, and economic crisis back on Earth, and prove that space-based industry is not only profitable, but possibly humanity's best hope for a livable, peaceful future.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A Japanese manga legend's autobiographical graphic novel about a struggling artist and the first full-length work by the great Yoshiharu Tsuge available in the English language. Yoshiharu Tsuge is one of comics' most celebrated and influential artists, but his work has been almost entirely unavailable to English-speaking audiences. The Man Without Talent, his first book ever to be translated into English, is an unforgiving self-portrait of frustration. Swearing off cartooning as a profession, Tsuge takes on a series of unconventional jobs -- used camera salesman, ferryman, and stone collector -- hoping to find success among the hucksters, speculators, and deadbeats he does business with. Instead, he fails again and again, unable to provide for his family, earning only their contempt and his own. The result is a dryly funny look at the pitfalls of the creative life, and an off-kilter portrait of modern Japan. Accompanied by an essay from translator Ryan Holmberg that discusses Tsuge's importance in comics and Japanese literature, The Man Without Talent is one of the great works of comics literature.

He inadvertently becomes involved in a strange disturbance that develops over a literary prize. Book excerpt: “One cool novel. If the Tardis were a Ford Model A , this might be Doctor Who meets National Treasure.”—F. Paul Wilson, New York Times bestselling author of the Repairman Jack series “GET IN THE CAR, MR. TEAGUE. THE ROAD BECKONS.” The traveler sped through Eli Teague’s life long ago. With her tricorne hat, flintlock rifle, and steampunked Model-A Ford, she was a living anachronism, and an irresistible mystery—and she was gone as soon as she arrived, in a cloud of gunfire and a squeal of tires. So when Eli sees her again, he’s determined that this time, he’s going to get some answers. But his hunt soon yields far more than he bargained for, plunging him headlong into a dizzying world full of competing factions and figures straight out of legend. To make sense of the secret at its heart, he must embark on a breakneck chase across the country and through two centuries of history—with nothing less than America’s past, present, and future at stake. Praise for Paradox Bound “So good you’ll want to invent time travel and send a copy back to yourself, just so you can read it again for the first time. A tour de force.”—Jason M. Hough, New York Times bestselling author of The Darwin Elevator “A timey-wimey, full-barrel adventure novel that also teaches a nonironic lesson in American civics . . . [featuring] an epithet-wielding, pistol-packing heroine that will capture hearts.”—Kirkus Reviews (starred review) “A fast and resonant time-travel thriller and tour of America, bursting with fun ideas.”—Django Wexler, author of The Shadow Campaigns novels “Lively, likeable, and wonderfully amusing.”—Publishers Weekly (starred review)

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Welcome to Supremacy Games! The greatest entertainment platform in the universe that was created specifically to entertain and ease the boredom of the commoners all around the universe. The platform was made out of tens of formats, each containing hundreds of deadly games that allowed the use of elemental abilities. Sports format had games, like football, rugby, track running, and many more of such sports. Battles format had games, like battle royals, bounty hunt, points collection...etc There was even a lifestyle competition format, that had games like potion concoctions, fishing...etc. As long as a game was well received by the spectators, it would be added to the Supremacy Games platform. The Universal Virtual Reality that had 100% realism, made it easy for those games to be hosted inside it, and watched on a daily basis by every spectator in the universe. Whether live by entering the UVR and attending the stadiums, or through a live stream. Felix Maxwell was just an average joe, who wasn't really a popular player nor had a fanbase to support him in the games. He was just like the majority of the players. Add on, whose role was to make famous players shine even brighter. However, his fate was completely changed after joining a clan mission with 54 other clanmates. The mission was completed successfully. But, on their way back to the clan, their spaceship radar picked up a large amount of energy coming from a destroyed planet. His fate flipped upside down inside that said planet. What happened exactly on it? How did he end up after leaving it? Did he even leave it in the first place? ........... PS: This novel isn't a space exploration novel (Not in the first 8 volumes at least). It's mostly focused on the Universal Virtual Reality and the 'Supremacy Games' as the name implies, with some real-life situations as well of course!
