You are either tickled to your hearts delights by the streams of fiery passions of your sexuality, or are aimlessly drifting through the doldrums of the monotonous waves of life -as a shipwreck. In this graphic and honest discussion on the complexity and history of human sexuality and its purpose and impact on us all, the author is boldly delving into this stormy topic with these aims in mind: How did it all start and where to find the answers? Was there an original pure teaching of this dynamic human phenomenon? Who was interested in fouling the atmosphere of human sexuality? How and by whom was it perpetuated on innocent lives throughout history? What were the results of this conspiracy on you personally? How to reverse it? What is The Song of Solomon the master lover all about, and how to achieve the ideal spiritual and sexual intercourse? In this work, the Biblical and historic narratives concerning human sexuality will enlighten us, one step at a time, until we reach the sparkling and inviting lights at the end of our sexual journey.

The beloved author of The Life and Loves of a She Devil sends up marriage, 1950s London, fad diets, celebrity feminists, and Doctor Faustus, proving once again that she is “the social and sexual soothsayer of our literary times” (Company). The Fat Woman’s Joke: A novel about sex, food, marriage, and the indignities of the 1960s. After a lifetime of gorging herself, Esther Wells has an epiphany: She and her husband are going on a diet. Dedicated foodies throughout their marriage, they are about to discover what happens when new passions supplant old. “[Weldon is] an insightful and persuasive social commentator with an exhilarating mind.” —Susan Isaacs, author of Compromising Positions Down Among the Women: In 1950s London, Scarlet was raised by her mother—a former radical who left her husband to be fiercely independent. But at twenty, Scarlet has already had one abortion, and is about to become a single mother to the child she’s naming Byzantia. Over the course of twenty years, Scarlet and her friends will discover it’s never too late to become the women they are meant to be. “[A] stinging, brilliant comic novel.” —The Christian Science Monitor Growing Rich: Carmen is sixteen when Bernard Bellamy spies her from the back seat of his big, black BMW. He’s just made a bargain with Mephistopheles: his mortal soul in exchange for the fulfillment of his desires. As time passes, inexplicable things happen to Carmen and her friends. But she’s determined to hang on to her soul, no matter what obstacles—or temptations—are erected in her path. Will she succumb? Only the devil knows . . . “Glorious entertainment.” —Women’s Journal Darcy’s Utopia: With her husband in prison for financial crimes, Eleanor Darcy is a media sensation. A self-professed “feminist of the socialist variety,” she grants an interview to a pair of journalists. During the course of their conversations, two journalists find themselves on a life-changing journey as Eleanor spins her vision of a future where money is abolished and “all men will believe in God and be capable of love.” “A dazzling tour de force from one of Britain’s most inspiring and intelligent novelists.” —Cosmopolitan

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Devil ́s DNA is a novel about the mystery of DNA. It attempts to tease the reader ́s intellect and defy traditional categories - possibly it is a novel of ideas produced in reponse to the science of genetic engineering, possibly a thriller, possibly a Scottish romance. It can be seen as a response to the science of genetic engineering, just as Robert Louis Stevenson ́s "The Body Snatcher" was a response to the new science of anatomy. The plot is that of an adventure story in which the villains use genetic engineering for illegal purposes. The book also incorporates an exploration of the theme of genetics in a wider sense, encompassing popular genealogies of kings and queens, family and sexual relationships, and the author ́s own blood relationship to RLS. The book is set mainly in Scotland, in Edinburgh and East Lothian, the places where RLS and the author lived as children. The little island, the Bass Rock, which Stevenson uses for a kidnap in "Catriona" and on which he placed a protagonist with the name of the author ́s great grandfather, is central to the book. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Its a troubled world we live in. It was meant to be utopia, yet we are busy messing it up. At all levels of government we seem to do our best to throw a monkey wrench at the system we devised for our good, not our own hurt. The legislators are ever busy opposing each other, yet expect to run the day-to-day affairs smoothly. The American fathers of the constitution chose the least of evil of all forms of government, but the element of human nature seems to make it, at best, a dysfunctional system on many levels. Without an agreed upon system of values, accepted by all members of society, its impossible to run a smooth government as it is prerequisite for the function of life. Since education is the basis that determines the outcome of life, we shall concentrate on this dimension that leads to either success or failure in all areas. To begin our search for the causes that create a utopian society, we shall address first roll of the parents, especially the mother, in the success or failure of a human beings. Next, we shall go to the school system the surrogate parent and examine its roll in molding the young plants our children. Finally, we shall address the roll of the society at large. In these three areas we shall find the causes of success and failures of life. Then, we shall proceed to the solutions that will insure the way to success in all areas the dreamed of utopia. Utopia is possible! We dont have to be ridden with the ills of society, with crime, with violence, with wars, with political corruption. In the beginning it was not so, in the end it can, and will, be different if we are willing to submit to the process of re-education, all is possible.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the most basic terms, planetary conjunction occurs when two or more planets occupy the same house. But what happens when planets are conjunct in a house? They DEFINE your life in a nutshell. A conjunction can be benefic or malefic, depending upon several factors such as the nature of the planets involved, their relationship with each other, and the house/sign they are placed in. The strength of the planet is also taken into account, like whether the planet is combust, retrograde or direct. There can be as many as 5 or 6 planets in the same house but such is a rare occurrence. These are in fact the most difficult horoscopes to interpret. Care must be taken in determining how the planets affect each other. There could be a Yoga or a planetary combination) forming due to the conjunction but if a malefic planet is operational in the same house, the Yoga may not fructify for the native. On the other hand, when multiple weak or malefic planets get together in a house, presence of a benefic could balance the situation. Nevertheless, its power would be low due to malefic influence so the horoscope can only be considered average. Conjunction of multiple planets in one house indicates the focus area of your life - the house where most of the planets are placed. Nevertheless, there could be some misbalance in the personality of the native due to the strong pull of a single house. The lord of house where conjunction of planets takes place is also under the spotlight. If it is positioned well, it casts a benefic influence upon the native. It tends to make other planets strong too. However, if it is weakly posited or under malefic influence, it may only deem negative results and may worsen the situation.

Book excerpt: This collection reflects the French influence on literary and representational theory which has been predominant in recent years. It contains stimulating essays on the fiction of Perault, Borges, James, Eco and Tournier. These are complemented by theoretical essays on power and representation which provide powerful critiques of Barthes, Derrida, Deleuze and Marin, writers central to the contemporary debate. Finally, two perceptive essays reflect upon and attempt to redirect current theory, drawing on and confronting the writings of Michel Foucault.
