Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: From the Introduction by Merrill C. Tenney: This commentary is an attempt to make plain the meaning of Revelation. With commendable reserve, Dr. Smith has restricted himself largely to interpretation by other passages of Scripture which are related to Revelation by actual quotation or by striking parallelism. His painstaking studies of vocabulary and of related ideas make the book valuable to the earnest student of the Bible. Dr. Smith is a futurist and a premillenarian, holding that all of the Book of Revelation beginning with the fourth chapter relates to the future period of judgment known as 'the great tribulation,' which will be followed by the personal return of Christ and by the establishment of His kingdom. In this regard he is in a long line of renowned commentators, including Seiss, Gaebelein, Ottman, and others. The distinguishing feature of this commentary is its use of Biblical statistics and comparisons. The uses of important terms in the Revelation are cataloged, and their interpretation is derived from their context. The appendices contain some extensive studies of individual topics, correlating information not easily obtainable elsewhere. Dr. Smith follows a literal interpretation except where avowed symbolism demands a different procedure. He has sought to make his exposition consistent in method and in results. His use of Greek is apt, and shows a careful investigation of the underlying vocabulary of the Greek text. This commentary will probably be the mainstay of premillennial exposition for some years to come.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: REVELATION, the book of the consummation of all things, is a closed book to multitudes of Christians. This should not and need not be. We are responsible for every part of the Word of God, as it was written for our admonition. Two distinct blessings are recorded within the book: “Blessed is he that readeth,” and “blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of this book.”The symbolic language is often given as a reason for this neglect. Dr. Talbot tells us that within the Word itself we are given the key to the symbols used, so that “those who neglect it are without excuse.”Christians will welcome this thorough, comprehensive study. Much that is seemingly vague and inconsistent will be cleared up as you follow step by step through the divisions given, comparing Scripture with Scripture.Although their symbolism differs, the prophecies of Daniel and those of Revelation contain much that is identical. They are mutually revealing, and Dr. Talbot explains the correspondence between them.Says the Moody Monthly:“The book abounds in sound prophetic teaching of the conservative school with much helpful inspirational and devotional application. There is a clear, simple but complete chart of the prophetic plan of the ages.”

Taught of God Himself, the Emperor stands in no need of human instruction; yet this his devoutness prepares the way to victory. The task appointed to the author is difficult: in the accomplishment whereof he will be guided not so much by reason and argument as by authority, especially that of the Nicene Council.

Did you know that 'Armageddon' says nothing about timing of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ? Did you know that if you were to understand the Book of Revelation perfectly, that you still would not be able to predict timing of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ? Did you know that there is no such thing as the saints being taken to heaven for a 1,000 years, meaning there is not any such thing as 'Left Behind'? Did you know that the 'Mark of the Beast' does not have to transpire, that it can be avoided? Did you know that 'Babylon the Great' need not materialize? Did you know that ideally, Jesus wants you and your descendants to continue to live productively and righteously on earth, that ideally, He does not desire to come back physically a Second Time to take people to heaven? Well then, buy this book, and you will find the evidence, and much more. With respect to the much more, in this book, you encounter the loving thoughtfulness of a Heavenly Father who cares about your welfare. You find out, for instance, that The Father spent over a 1,000 years eliminating every objection to your right not to have to pass through any other person for arrival at spiritual fellowship with Himself, The Lord Jesus Christ, and The Holy Spirit, all of whom are Spirit. All of that work only so you could be truly spiritually free. If it is spiritual freedom that you seek from an understanding of the Book of Revelation, buy this book.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Odell Furtick begins this exposition by saying, Do you believe? Its a question that everyone must answer personally. Its been over two thousand years since anyone has seen Jesus on earth after his ascension, and now the believers are told to wait for his return. Has humanity grown weary in their belief and lost faith in the promises of God? Dr. Furtick leads his readers through the book of Revelation verse by verse, reassuring the readers that Gods final words are reliable and precise. The book of Revelation is one of the most neglected books in the Bible because of fear and lack of comprehension of its apocalyptic writings and prophetic symbols. This book brings to life a concise knowledge of the mysteries of God concealed in the Old Testament and revealed in the Revelation of Jesus Christ. The book of Revelation is relevant in the twenty-first century, and the world should believe the testimony of the apostle John and believe all the sayings written in the Word of God.
