Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Psychic ability is not a gift reserved only for a chosen few. It is a universal human inheritance, like sight, like hearing. Yet, it is also true that this psychic inheritance is a skill to be developed. Some are born with their psychic abilities near to hand and easily accessible. Others discover them only in emergencies, or by so-called "accident." And still others are taught if they can find a competent teacher. Robert cracknell is such a teacher. One of the most famous psychics in Britain, called "Britain's Number-One Psychic Detective," he was tested at Oxford University and scored an astonishing 80% success rate in precognition. Yet, he maintains, the difference between his abilities and yours is not only a matter of inborn skill, but of development and practice. Using stories from his own extraordinary life, and exercises he developed specifically for this purpose, he teaches you to develop the psychic abilities you were born with even if you have never used them before.

Book Synopsis Psychic Psychology by : John Friedlander
Download or read book Psychic Psychology written by John Friedlander and published by North Atlantic Books. This book was released on 2011-08-09 with total page 377 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Two of America's most experienced and respected psychic teachers present their system of the subtle energy of interpersonal relationships in a book that will appeal to anyone wishing to understand and improve their relationships within their families, partnerships, workplaces, and wider communities This useful guide from two of America’s preeminent psychics is unique in its focus on individual psychology and interpersonal relationships. It begins with simple meditations during which practitioners learn how to recognize their own psychic energy—and also determine if that energy is constrained. Psychic Psychology shows how to free energy through such tools as grounding, clearing psychic enmeshment, and finding the space from which to respond most openly, resourcefully, and generously to life. An entire chapter is devoted to exploring the specific energies men and women have based on their biological differences and helping them to deal with their own energy and that of the other sex. Friedlander and Hemsher present the everyday usefulness of clairvoyant skills within a big picture where they explain that we create our reality, but do not control it; and that the personality—like the soul—is eternal and always growing. The final section describes how psychic skills can be applied in real-world contexts, which are often ambiguous and contradictory. The book explores common issues such as dealing with selfdoubt without jumping to unwarranted, blind confidence and how to communicate effectively, with clear boundaries.
Book Synopsis The Reality of ESP by : Russell Targ
Download or read book The Reality of ESP written by Russell Targ and published by Quest Books. This book was released on 2012-12-19 with total page 338 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: On February 4, 1974, members of the Symbionese Liberation Army kidnapped nineteen-year-old newspaper heiress Patricia Hearst from her Berkeley, California apartment. Desperate to find her, the police called physicist Russell Targ and Pat Price, a psychic retired police commissioner. As Price turned the pages of the police mug book filled with hundreds of photos, suddenly he pointed to one of them and announced, “That’s the ringleader.” The man was Donald DeFreeze, who was indeed subsequently so identified. Price also described the type and location of the kidnap car, enabling the police to find it within minutes. That remarkable event is one reason Targ believes in ESP. Another occurred when his group made $120,000 by forecasting for nine weeks in a row the changes in the silver-commodity futures market As a scientist, Targ demands proof. His experience is based on two decades of investigations at the Stanford Research Institute (SRI), which he cofounded with physicist Harold Puthoff in 1972. This twenty-million dollar program launched during the Cold War was supported by the CIA, NASA, the Defense Intelligence Agency, and Army and Air Force Intelligence. The experiments they conducted routinely presented results could have happened by chance less than once in a million. Targ describes four types of experiments: Remote Viewing, in which a person describes places and events independent of space and time. For example, while in California Price drew to scale a Soviet weapons factory at Semipalitinsk with great accuracy later confirmed by Satellite photography. In another remote viewing, Targ accurately sketched an airport in San Andreas, Columbia himself. Distant Mental Influence, where the thoughts of the experimenter can positively or negatively affect the physiology (heart rate, skin resistance, etc.) of a distant person. Whole field isolation, where someone in a state of sensory isolation accurately describes the visual experiences of someone else in another place Precognition and retrocausality, showing that the future can affect the past. That is, the elephant you see on television in the morning can be the cause of your having dreamed about elephants the previous night. Final chapters present evidence for survival after death; explain how ESP works based on the Buddhist/Hindu view of our selves as nonlocal, eternal awareness; discuss the ethics of exercising psychic abilities, and show us how to explore ESP ourselves. “I am convinced,” Targ says, “that most people can learn to move from their ordinary mind to one not obstructed by conventional barriers of space and time. Who would not want to try that?”

Book Synopsis Managing Psychic Abilities by : Mary Mueller Shutan
Download or read book Managing Psychic Abilities written by Mary Mueller Shutan and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2016-12-13 with total page 187 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Approximately 20% of the population is sensitive or in some way psychic. Being sensitive or psychic can allow you to understand the world in a way that most people can’t, and to see beyond what others are able to. But for many of you sensitivities are a burden, causing overwhelm or even physical ailments. Most information about psychic abilities on the market is aspirational, meaning that all of the books out there focused on “opening your third eye” or “becoming psychic” are not meant for the highly sensitive person. You don’t want to become more sensitive, you may in fact be holding on for dear life because you are overwhelmed, panicked, have issues with sleep, body pain, headaches, digestive issues, and constantly shifting emotions. Or you might be mildly sensitive, but still need skills to manage going to work, or want to know more about how to become more functional while still being sensitive in this world. Learn how psychic abilities and sensitivities develop, where you are on the spectrum of these abilities and sensitivities, and most importantly, the basic and intermediate skills and techniques needed to be healthier, more functional, and to feel in control of your sensitivities and psychic abilities, so that you can live in the world more joyfully again.

Book Synopsis Psychic Reality in Context by : Marion Michel Oliner
Download or read book Psychic Reality in Context written by Marion Michel Oliner and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2018-05-01 with total page 166 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book skillfully combines autobiographical stories with clear psychoanalytical theories. During her childhood, the author experienced the Holocaust and was left understandly traumatised by it. It was her desire to confront this trauma that led her to psychoanalysis. For decades, the coherence of psychoanalysis seemed to be threatened by the conflicting thinking of many psychoanalytical colleagues about trauma and trauma affect, and also about the influence of external reality on the psychic reality discovered by Freud. However, the author counters this potential conflict with her innovative theoretical integration, combined with remarkable conceptual outcomes and treatment techniques. This book spans the author's work over the last fifteen years on the impact of external reality on psychic reality. During this period many analysts, especially in the English-speaking countries and Germany, where historic events loomed large in the lives of their patients, have turned from the exclusive emphasis on psychic reality to greater attention to the traumatic impact of external reality.
