Dans ces solutions, le pharmacien tient une place importante. En pratiquant la pharmacie clinique, il assiste le médecin dans la prescription chez le sujet âgé. Il peut aussi participer au développement d'outils informatiques d'aide à la décision et à la formation des professionnels de santé en pharmacothérapie gériatrique.
