Mittel einer Interkulturellen Erziehung erfordern in unserer heutigen Gesellschaft neue Formen und ein breiteres Spektrum an Möglichkeiten. Nicht nur die Vermittlung der Zweisprachigkeit, sondern gerade die Einführung in unterschiedliche Rollenerwartungen verschiedener Kulturen, ihre Religionen, ihre Sitten etc. steht im Zentrum eines bewußten Umgangs mit der Interkulturalität. Notwendig ist hier das Handeln auf zwei Ebenen: einerseits die seelische Stärkung des Kindes, um es vor dem Zerbrechen an Diskriminierungserfahrungen wenigstens ansatzweise zu schützen zu versuchen, andererseits der Einsatz für gesellschaftliche Veränderungen, damit Rassismus und Vorurteilen frühzeitig Einhalt geboten werden kann. Da die Kunst in unserer Zeit stärker noch als in vergangenen Epochen gesellschaftliche Aufgaben hat, die nicht von der ästhetischen Dimension einer Arbeit zu trennen sind, liegt vor allem auch in diesem Bereich ein fruchtbarer Boden für eine Erziehung im interkulturellen Kontext. Kunst ist immer nur ein Glied des Lebens, ist eine schöpferische Tat des Menschen, der die eigene Existenz und seine Umgebung gestaltet und so künstlerisch den ihm zugänglichen Ausschnitt der Welt formt und organisiert. Der Versuch, diese stärkere Beachtung einer sich bereichernden Verknüpfung beider Bereiche im Sinne einer „Interkulturellen Erziehung durch und in der Kunst“ zu vermitteln ist Hauptanliegen meiner Arbeit. „...Zuerst trachte ein Mensch, der Poet sein will, nach völliger Selbsterkenntnis. Er suche seine Seele, durchforsche sie, begreife sie...Er muß, was er erdichtend entdeckt, fühlbar machen, tastbar, hörbar, und wenn das, was er von da unten heraufholt, Form besitzt, so gibt er es als Form; ist es formlos, dann gibt er das Formlose.- Eine Sprache finden...Aber das Unsichtbare sehen und das Unhörbare hören, ist eine andere Sache, als den Geist toter Dinge wiederzuwecken...Die Entdeckungen des Unbekannten fordern neue Formen.“ (Rimbaud) Man kann den heutigen Erziehungsauftrag definieren als Erziehung zu einem kulturellen und gesellschaftlichen Krisenbewußtsein am „Fin de siécle“. Mir scheint es deshalb an dieser Stelle angebracht, die unveränderte Relevanz der Frage nach einer wirksamen entwicklungspolitischen Bewußtseinsbildung zu begründen: 1. Noch vor wenigen Jahren als zentrales globalpolitisches Problem Gegenstand vielfältiger Untersuchungen und Öffentlichkeitsinitiativen, sind die Entwicklungsprobleme der Länder auf der südlichen Halbku gel zu Beginn der 90er Jahre im Zuge der Ost-West-Annäherung und den damit verbundenen gesellschaftspolitischen Veränderungen immer mehr aus dem Blickfeld der Tagespolitik und damit auch aus dem dem Problembewußtsein der Öffentlichkeit gerückt. "Europa ist in, die Dritte Welt ist out" (Frankfurter Rundschau 11. 4. 90) - völlig zu unrecht wie ich meine: Daß die Mauern, die zwischen Ost und West gefallen sind, mittlerweile zwischen Nord und Süd immer höher wachsen, dokumentiert sich nicht nur beispielhaft in den Konfrontatio nen um wichtige Rohstoffquellen, wie sie uns gegenwärtig hautnah betreffen und betroffen machen. Mit dem Ende der dritten Entwicklungsdekade ist vielmehr deutlich geworden, daß der Nord-Süd-Kontlikt als entscheidende soziale Frage unseres Jahrhunderts nichts an Brisanz verloren hat: Mehr Menschen denn je sind von Hunger und Elend betroffen.
