Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Jamie Thornton comes the final book in a stunning survival series that has readers raving about its dark and gritty thrills. Powerful enemies, twisted memories, a government willing to do anything for control. Find out how it all ends... THE CENTER WILL NOT HOLD. Three years later, sixteen-year-old Maibe hides from the world, from her mistakes, from her friends. But the double infection that keeps them from becoming V isn't working like it did before. Maibe and her friends are turning. Then rumors surface of a new cure. A cure that would erase the infections that destroyed the world. It becomes a deadly race between Feeb and uninfected. Whoever finds the cure will control it--and everyone who needs it. But Maibe and her friends are running out of time. If she doesn't get the new cure soon, there will be nothing left of her friends to save. "Thrilling...keeps you reading and wanting more." "I couldn't put this down." "This left me hungry for the next book." Interview with the Author Q - What makes the Zombies are Human series special? An epidemic ravaging the human population. A world spiraling into chaos. People doing whatever it takes to survive. I wanted to write something I would love to read. I've always been drawn to the post-apocalyptic genre and thought about end-of-the-world books I've loved--Stephen King's The Stand, Octavia Butler's Parable of the Sower. But also recent stories like The Girl With All the Gifts, The Passage, and even Stranger Things. I've always found stories with big epidemics/events that reinvent the world so thrilling. I also love getting into some of the science, like the genetic engineering, that would make the situations plausible. Zombies are Human gives you some of that classic Walking Dead zombie fare, but...without giving too much away...I guarantee you've never read a zombie series like Zombies are Human before. Even though my cast of characters are teenagers I've definitely had plenty of adults write me about how much they've enjoyed the series. I think Zombies are Human hits the sweet spot of older Young Adult that will appeal to plenty of adults too. No matter what your age, the Zombies are Human series is designed to keep you furiously turning those pages. Q - What order should I read the books in? I think the complete series would be most enjoyable in the following sequence: --Germination (prequel short novel) --Contamination --Infestation --Eradication Q - Why should readers give these books a try? The prequel hit #5 on the New York Times and #8 on the USA Today bestseller lists. I've gotten tons of emails from readers letting me know how much they loved Zombies are Human (stay-up-all-night-even-with-work-the-next-day love). But more than that, as a reader myself, I am always looking for the next Stranger Things, The Passage, The Girl With All The Gifts. THAT'S the kind of story I hope you'll find in Zombies are Human. Smart. Dangerous. Gritty. With rip-your-heart-out intensity (literally and figuratively in some cases). Zombies are Human is a fast, dark apocalyptic ride. Just remember...nothing is what it seems. "Left me hungry for the next book." Finish the thrilling post-apocalyptic ride that follows a group of runaways as they search for a friend in a world gone mad over hope for a cure. IF SHE'S ALREADY DEAD WHAT'S THE POINT OF LIVING? Three years later, sixteen-year-old Maibe hides from the world, from her mistakes, from her friends. But the double infection that keeps them from becoming V isn't working like it did before. Maibe and her friends are turning. Then rumors surface of a new cure. But Maibe and her friends are running out of time. If she doesn't get the new cure soon, there will be nothing left of her friends to save. Interview with the Author Q - So what makes the Feast of Weeds series special? A - It's a mix of things, really. When I set out to write the series, I wanted to create something that I would love to read. Since I'm drawn to the post-apocalyptic genre, especially dystopian novels, that's where I started. I thought about the end-of-the-world books I've loved-you know, classic Stephen King, Octavia Butler, Max Brooks. I've always found thrilling those stories with big epidemics that reinvent the world and show what characters are really made of. I also love getting into some of the science, like genetic engineering, that would make the situations in a book plausible. Any story that promises me an intense, dark adventure is going to get my vote. The Feast of Weeds series is a mix of these genres. I wanted to create an intense, fast-paced adventure with strong female protagonists. I also wanted to do something different than the standard survive the zombie-hordes stories-though I've enjoyed plenty of those stories too. In Feast of Weeds, you're going to have competing pathogens, and what might seem straightforward at first becomes something completely different later on. Even though my cast of characters are all teenagers I've definitely had plenty of adults write me about how much they've enjoyed the series. I think Feast of Weeds hits the sweet spot of older Young Adult that will appeal to plenty of adults too. Overall, no matter what your age, the Feast of Weeds series is designed to keep you turning those pages. Q - What order should I read the books in? A - I've written the series with the plan of having readers go through the series in order. Technically each book is a stand-alone story, but I think the complete series would be most enjoyable in the following sequence: --Germination (prequel short novel) --Contamination --Infestation --Eradication Q - Why should readers give these books a try? A - Even though Germination is a prequel short novel, so, a shorter read than many readers like, it hit #5 on the New York Times bestseller list and #8 on the USA Today bestseller list inside the Dark Humanity box set in January 2017. The Feast of Weeds series is a fast, dark ride that turns the stereotypical zombie genre on its head! I like surprises and mysteries and thrills, so you'll find a lot of that in the series...nothing is what it seems. Book excerpt: A brain-bending exploration of real-life zombies and mind controllers, and what they reveal to us about nature—and ourselves Zombieism isn’t just the stuff of movies and TV shows like The Walking Dead. It’s real, and it’s happening in the world around us, from wasps and worms to dogs and moose—and even humans. In Plight of the Living Dead, science journalist Matt Simon documents his journey through the bizarre evolutionary history of mind control. Along the way, he visits a lab where scientists infect ants with zombifying fungi, joins the search for kamikaze crickets in the hills of New Mexico, and travels to Israel to meet the wasp that stings cockroaches in the brain before leading them to their doom. Nothing Hollywood dreams up can match the brilliant, horrific zombies that natural selection has produced time and time again. Plight of the Living Dead is a surreal dive into a world that would be totally unbelievable if very smart scientists didn’t happen to be proving it’s real, and most troublingly—or maybe intriguingly—of all: how even we humans are affected. “Fantastic . . . You'll be thinking about this book long after you're done reading it.” —Kelly Weinersmith, New York Times bestselling coauthor of Soonish

Book excerpt: Zombies have plagued humanity's nightmares for centuries, but fortunately, the scientific community has created this detailed and completely serious guide to the undead. Only Zombies of the World tackles this issue and many more, so you might want to read up before a zombie tackles you! Zombies menace humanity, yet we barely understand them. There are books that show you how to kill the undead, but this is the first field guide to explain the importance of zombies to us. Zombies of the World reveals the undead to be a valuable part of our ecosystem and the key to new discoveries in medicine and technology. Zombies of the World uses captivating illustrations to document how evolution has led to a wide variety of species. Few outside the scientific community even realize that creatures like the Egyptian Mummy (Mortifera mumia aegyptus) are actually zombies. Some species are even harmless to humans. The Dancing Zombie (Mortifera immortalis choreographicus) only seeks to thrill humans with elaborate dance routines. Discover how our history has been affected by the undead and what we can learn from “scientific” research. The answer might surprise you!

Book excerpt: #1 bestselling author and popular radio and television host Glenn Beck shines a spotlight on today’s culture of violence and provides practical, timely, and fact-based answers to the most commonly heard gun-control arguments. When our founding fathers secured the Constitutional “right of the people to keep and bear arms,” they also added the admonition that this right SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED. It is the only time this phrase appears in the Bill of Rights. So why aren’t more people listening? History has proven that guns are essential to self-defense and liberty—but tragedy is a powerful force and has led many to believe that guns are the enemy, that the Second Amendment is outdated, and that more restrictions or outright bans on firearms will somehow solve everything. They are wrong. In CONTROL, Glenn Beck presents a passionate, fact-based case for guns that reveals why gun control isn’t really about controlling guns at all; it’s about controlling us. In doing so, he takes on and debunks the common myths and outright lies that are often used to vilify guns and demean their owners: The Second Amendment is ABOUT MUSKETS . . . GUN CONTROL WORKS in other countries . . . 40 percent of all guns are sold without BACKGROUND CHECKS . . . More GUNS MEAN more MURDER . . . Mass shootings are becoming more common . . . These awful MASSACRES ARE UNIQUE TO AMERICA . . . No CIVILIAN needs a “weapon of war” like the AR-15 . . . ARMED GUARDS in schools do nothing, just look at Columbine . . . Stop FEARMONGERING, no one is talking about TAKING YOUR GUNS AWAY. Backed by hundreds of sources, this handbook gives everyone who cares about the Second Amendment the indisputable facts they need to reclaim the debate, defeat the fear, and take back their natural rights.

Book excerpt: What if we have lost the ability to think straight? And what if this is why the shocking injustices of contemporary life go unchallenged in spite of being widely acknowledged? And what if the institution that is supposed to help us to think is in on the act? This is the thesis put forward by Zombie University, which shows the modern university as the fulcrum of our societies’ mode of control, tempting more and more young people to rituals of education that work to keep us down rather than raise us up.
