El análisis de los datos con la t de Student permite concluir que la intervención pedagógica favoreció una mejor calidad de aprendizaje en lectura y resolución de problemas en el primer ciclo básico, sin embargo se debe reconocer que la tradición conductista de la formación educacional y profesional constituye una seria limitación, a la que se agrega el contexto escolar que es renuente a los cambios de paradigmas.

Book excerpt: Esta investigación trata sobre la influencia del Enfoque Equilibrado en la alfabetización inicial de alumnos de primer año básico en situación de vulnerabilidad de escuelas urbanas de las ciudades de Los Ángeles y Nacimiento. Se trabajó con un diseño cuasi experimental, cuantitativo; con pre test, intervención y post test, con el fin de determinar la influencia del enfoque equilibrado en el proceso de alfabetización inicial. La muestra de alumnos estuvo constituida por dos grupos experimentales (GE) y dos grupos controles (GC), en Los Ángeles en el GE de 52 y el GC de 53 los que corresponden solo a varones; en Nacimiento 22 alumnos del GE y 38 alumnos del GC, los que corresponden a grupos mixtos. La muestra total del GC está formada por 91 alumnos, 38 de Nacimiento y 53 de Los Ángeles; el GE está formado por 74 alumnos, 22 de Nacimiento y 52 de Los Ángeles. El proceso se llevó a cabo durante el primer semestre del año 2009, periodo durante el cual realizamos nuestra práctica profesional. La intervención pedagógica consistió en aplicar las estrategias del Enfoque Equilibrado en una hora semanal en el GE, al GC se le enseñó solo con el método fonético. El análisis de los datos indica que los dos GE lograron mayor dominio que los GC en comprensión lectora, producción de textos y habilidades metalingüísticas. Si la intervención pedagógica se hubiera permitido durante todas la horas semanales de Lenguaje, los resultados podrían ser mejores en escritura y lectura oral.
