Book Synopsis Analysis and Design of Electronic Circuits Using PCs by : John Greenbaum
Download or read book Analysis and Design of Electronic Circuits Using PCs written by John Greenbaum and published by Springer. This book was released on 1988 with total page 296 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Since the mid 1960s, the digital computer has been used as a design tool by electronic circuit designers. Computer software programs called ECAP' and 2 SCEPTRE were among the earliest circuit analysis codes to gain general acceptance by the design community. These programs permitted circuit perfor mance to be simulated for small-signal frequency responses, dc operation points, and transient responses to varying input stimulii. Unfortunately, accessability to programs such as these by the design community of that era was quite limited since they could be used solely on large, expensive mainframe computers. Only a fraction of the circuit designers at that time were employed by companies large enough to afford the acquisition and maintainance costs of these large computers. The availability of personal computers (PCs) at moderate prices has dramat ically changed this picture. The sophistication of the PCs as well as the software that can be run on them has potentially put circuit performance simulation at every designer's desk. Since the early days of ECAP and SCEPTRE, the amount of software for circuit design and analysis has grown enormously. At the same time, the sophistication of the analyses provided by this software has corre spondingly increased. In addition, the accuracy of simulation software has improved to where laboratory measurements have become a verification of the analyses, rather than vice versa.

Book Synopsis Analysis and Simulation of Electrical and Computer Systems by : Damian Mazur
Download or read book Analysis and Simulation of Electrical and Computer Systems written by Damian Mazur and published by Springer. This book was released on 2017-10-20 with total page 444 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book addresses selected topics in electrical engineering, electronics and mechatronics that have posed serious challenges for both the scientific and engineering communities in recent years. The topics covered range from mathematical models of electrical and electronic components and systems, to simulation tools implemented for their analysis and further developments; and from multidisciplinary optimization, signal processing methods and numerical results, to control and diagnostic techniques. By bridging theory and practice in the modeling, design and optimization of electrical, electromechanical and electronic systems, and by adopting a multidisciplinary perspective, the book provides researchers and practitioners with timely and extensive information on the state of the art in the field — and a source of new, exciting ideas for further developments and collaborations. The book presents selected results of the XIII Scientific Conference on Selected Issues of Electrical Engineering and Electronics (WZEE 2016), held on May 04–08, 2016, in Rzeszów, Poland. The Conference was organized by the Rzeszów Division of Polish Association of Theoretical and Applied Electrical Engineering (PTETiS) in cooperation with the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the Rzeszów University of Technology.

Book Synopsis Time-Domain Computer Analysis of Nonlinear Hybrid Systems by : Wenquan Sui
Download or read book Time-Domain Computer Analysis of Nonlinear Hybrid Systems written by Wenquan Sui and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2018-10-08 with total page 416 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The analysis of nonlinear hybrid electromagnetic systems poses significant challenges that essentially demand reliable numerical methods. In recent years, research has shown that finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) cosimulation techniques hold great potential for future designs and analyses of electrical systems. Time-Domain Computer Analysis of Nonlinear Hybrid Systems summarizes and reviews more than 10 years of research in FDTD cosimulation. It first provides a basic overview of the electromagnetic theory, the link between field theory and circuit theory, transmission line theory, finite-difference approximation, and analog circuit simulation. The author then extends the basic theory of FDTD cosimulation to focus on techniques for time-domain field solving, analog circuit analysis, and integration of other lumped systems, such as n-port nonlinear circuits, into the field-solving scheme. The numerical cosimulation methods described in this book and proven in various applications can effectively simulate hybrid circuits that other techniques cannot. By incorporating recent, new, and previously unpublished results, this book effectively represents the state of the art in FDTD techniques. More detailed studies are needed before the methods described are fully developed, but the discussions in this book build a good foundation for their future perfection.
