Ainsi, nous avons comparé les performances des participants (scores et temps de lecture) à une épreuve de lecture de mots sous deux formats différents : un format informatisé ludique (FIL) et un format papier. Le protocole a été proposé à 20 enfants présentant une dyslexie puis à 25 enfants de CE1. Cette étude montre que les deux cohortes ne réagissent pas pareil aux deux formats. Dans l'ensemble, il n'y a pas d'effet significatif du format sur les scores des enfants interrogés alors que les temps de lecture ont tendance à augmenter avec le FIL. Cependant, le FIL, par sa présentation ludique, apporte du plaisir à l'enfant et suscite la motivation, facteurs favorisant la diminution du stress lors de l'évaluation. De plus, l'outil informatique est familier pour les enfants de cette tranche d'âge ; il maintient leur attention et leur implication dans la tâche. L'utilisation d'un format plus motivant et générant davantage de plaisir permet à l'enfant d'appréhender l'épreuve différemment
