La Conferencia Suramericana de Migraciones (CSM) es un espacio creado para que los países de la región puedan abordar las temáticas que involucran a las poblaciones migrantes vulneradas, no obstante, no es suficiente para ofrecer una solución a las vulneraciones que viven las personas que, la mayoría de las veces, arriesgan incluso su propia vida con tal de encontrar un mejor destino. Aquí entra en juego el rol de las ONG's y la sociedad civil, en un campo naturalmente dominado por los estados y las instituciones internacionales, donde ponen su grano de arena para mejorar las vidas de estas personas deshauciadas e intentan comprometerse a nivel institucional y de forma directa con la CSM.
