Merrill), submetidos a diversos tratamentos de sementes, envolvendo oleo diesel, fungicida e inoculante. Em laboratorio foi feita a imersao das sementes em oleo diesel. Na casa de vegetacao foram instalados os seguintes experimentos: a) efeito do tratamento das sementes com oleo sobre a percentagem de germinacao e o indice de velocidade de germinacao; b) efeito do tratamento das sementes com oleo e/ou fungicida e do numero de dias sem irrigacao, apos o plantio, sobre a germinacao de sementes de soja semeadas em leito de areia sem umidade; e c) efeito do oleo na nodulacao radicular. Em condicoes de campo foi instalado um expe- rimento com a finalidade de se observar a germinacao e o desempenho das plantas, cujas sementes foram tratadas com oleo, fungicida e inoculante. O oleo diesel nao prejudicou a germinacao das sementes de soja, mesmo quando submetidas a imersao durante 90 minutos. A percentagem de germinacao e o indice de velocidade de germinacao em casa de vegetacao tambem nao foram afetados pelo tratamento das sementes com oleo diesel. O uso do fungicida causou diminuicao no numero de plantas com necrose cotiledonar, e o tratamento com oleo nao prejudicou a germinacao das sementes, que mantiveram a capacidade de germinar mesmo permanecendo 30 dias sem irrigacao.
