Book excerpt: What are the limit to the future of higher educational opportunities for India ?Nowadays, India's education system is as one of the world's largest, has been studied and reflected on through academic papers, used as a case study and been the subject of many renowned books. This is a traditional India educational models. The educational innovation and change are required and understanding that change will be essential to India education system because India's demographic trend means it will soon over take China as the world's largest population. Thus, India is encountering population growth challenge to cause shortage of school supply to students to study. The Indian higher education system is facing on challenge is being driven by economic and demographic change by 2020 year. India will be the world's third largest economy with a correspondingly rapid growth in the size of its middle classes. Currently , over 50% of India population is under 25 years old by 2020 year . India will outpace China as the country with the largest tertiary age population. Thus, Indian higher education is facing with four broad challenges, such as: The supply -demand gap challenge: BY 2020 year, the Indian government aims to achieve 30% gross enrolment, which will mean providing to million university places, an increases of 14 million in six years. The low quality of teaching and learning challenge: Shortage of faculty , poor quality teaching, outdated curricular, lack of accountability and quality assurance and separation of research and teaching. Constraints on research and innovation challenge: With a very low level of PHD enrolment. India does not have enough high quality researchers, there are less opportunities for interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary working, lack or early stage research experience, a weak ecosystem for innovation and low levels of industry engagement. Uneven growth and access to opportunity challenge: Socially access to higher education is uneven with inequalities in enrolment areas population groups and geographies. Thus, India government needs to reform educational policy, but many predict higher education leader academics and policy makers in India to explore their views on what the future holds for them and link to collaborate with the UK. For example, India educational organizations can co-operate with UK, USA etc. developed countries' famous and successful educational institutes to apply internet to teach India students by distance learning method. If India students had any learning challenges , who can send their questions to enquire these overseas countries' lecturers to get feedbacks easily by email channel. Also, India teachers can send email with overseas developed countries' teachers to discuss different teaching methods easily. Thus, key challenges are facing the system includes educational quality assurance, credit transfer system; between higher education and vocational skills solution method include promoting higher education and vocational skills stream and teacher training in higher education, change college education method to improve the quality of teaching and learning, private educational business sector will continue to grow , but for profit high education is unlikely to be sanctioned soon international cooperating with UK institutions to make the most of educational opportunities and foreign education providers need to take a long term view and build closer multi -dimensional relationship with Indian institutions.
