Book excerpt: The Bible commands Christians to "contend earnestly for the faith once for all delivered to the saints" (Jude 3). Believers are called by God to rationally defend the Christian faith as we live in a post-Christian era. In this helpful survey, Dr. Fernandes introduces his readers to Christian apologetics, the science of defending the faith. He discusses eight different ways to defend Christianity. Some of the issues in this book include arguments for the existence of God, historical evidences for Jesus, and scientific evidence for God. The author also shows his readers how to respond to adherents of other religions. This book is a must-read for Christians who desire to effectively share and defend their faith with others. Non-believers who are seeking spiritual truth will also benefit from reading this book.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Fight the Good Fight of Faith We are definitely living at the end of the age — when many events prophesied long ago are coming to pass. One of those prophesied events is apostasy that will emerge in the Church at the end of the age. What exactly does the Bible say about it? And what should be our response to these end-time developments? In this crucial series Earnestly Contending for the Faith, Rick Renner teaches about what the Bible says will occur in the last days and how we are to respond to it. In this series, Rick covers: What it means to earnestly contend for the faith. How God expects us to maintain the purity of the faith. And divine warnings to those who twist the doctrine of grace. If your desire is to stay on track with God and to stay rooted in His Word, then this is a series you will need to hear again and again so you can get these truths deep into your heart.

It may readily be supposed that the taking away of loved ones at the Rapture will cause many of those left behind to seek the Lord, but as the Holy Spirit goes back with the Church, and for the time being ceases His Office Work of Regeneration, who is to convert those who are left? -from The Second Coming of Christ The Reverend Clarence Larkin was one of the most widely influential thinkers on end-times prophecies of the early twentieth century, and his writings remain vital to appreciating the apocalyptic Christian thought that today enjoys widespread popularity. This 1918 work outlines exactly what the Bible predicts for the end of mankind's reign on Earth, and the return of the Christian savior, with a special emphasis on who is to be saved, and why. Numerous charts and illustrations depict the "Judgment Seat of Christ," "The Stages of the Second Coming," the "Failure of Man," and more. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In innumerable discussions and activities dedicated to better understanding and helping teenagers, one aspect of teenage life is curiously overlooked. Very few such efforts pay serious attention to the role of religion and spirituality in the lives of American adolescents. But many teenagers are very involved in religion. Surveys reveal that 35% attend religious services weekly and another 15% attend at least monthly. 60% say that religious faith is important in their lives. 40% report that they pray daily. 25% say that they have been "born again." Teenagers feel good about the congregations they belong to. Some say that faith provides them with guidance and resources for knowing how to live well. What is going on in the religious and spiritual lives of American teenagers? What do they actually believe? What religious practices do they engage in? Do they expect to remain loyal to the faith of their parents? Or are they abandoning traditional religious institutions in search of a new, more authentic "spirituality"? This book attempts to answer these and related questions as definitively as possible. It reports the findings of The National Study of Youth and Religion, the largest and most detailed such study ever undertaken. The NYSR conducted a nationwide telephone survey of teens and significant caregivers, as well as nearly 300 in-depth face-to-face interviews with a sample of the population that was surveyed. The results show that religion and spirituality are indeed very significant in the lives of many American teenagers. Among many other discoveries, they find that teenagers are far more influenced by the religious beliefs and practices of their parents and caregivers than commonly thought. They refute the conventional wisdom that teens are "spiritual but not religious." And they confirm that greater religiosity is significantly associated with more positive adolescent life outcomes. This eagerly-awaited volume not only provides an unprecedented understanding of adolescent religion and spirituality but, because teenagers serve as bellwethers for possible future trends, it affords an important and distinctive window through which to observe and assess the current state and future direction of American religion as a whole.
