Der technologische Fortschritt eröffnet neue Chancen, birgt jedoch auch Risiken. Einerseits vereinfacht die Digitalisierung die Kommunikation am Markt, beschleunigt einzelne Prozesse und Arbeitsschritte in Unternehmen und ermöglicht so eine schnellere Bewältigung des Arbeitspensums. Für die gleiche Menge an Arbeit wird heute weniger Arbeitskraft benötigt, als es früher der Fall war. Zudem wird eine räumliche und zeitliche Flexibilität ermöglicht und einhergehend damit die bessere Vereinbarkeit von Beruf und Privatleben sowie eine Entlastung von monotoner oder physisch beanspruchender Arbeit. Andererseits begünstigt die Digitalisierung die räumliche und zeitliche Entgrenzung der Arbeit, erzeugt mitunter einen permanenten Leistungsdruck und lückenlose Leistungskontrolle aufgrund der kompletten Vernetzung. Ein neuartiges Arbeitsmodell, das sich auf Basis von Digitalisierung und Outsourcing gründet und sich aktuell in Deutschland wie auch weltweit verbreitet, ist das Crowdworking. Es ist Bestandteil der Plattformökonomie, bei der Kunden und Anbieter im Internet auf speziell ausgerichteten Plattformen zusammenfinden und so Angebot und Nachfrage komprimiert verbinden können. Das Ganze klingt zunächst sehr toll und komfortabel: Unternehmen vergeben über Online-Plattformen Aufträge, sogenannte Microjobs, oder kreative Projekte an Externe – und diese suchen sich aus, welche Aufgaben sie erledigen möchten. Diese Arbeit setzt sich zum Ziel, die Relevanz der Digitalisierung für den Arbeitsmarkt zu betrachten und herauszuarbeiten, welchen Einfluss neue Formen der Beschäftigung, speziell Crowdwork, im digitalen Zeitalter auf die Arbeitswelt nehmen und welche Konsequenzen sich für die Arbeitswelt und damit für Arbeitgeber wie auch für Crowdworker ergeben. Folgende Fragen sollen beantwortet werden: Welchen Einfluss hat die Digitalisierung auf den aktuellen Arbeitsmarkt und welche Anforderungen ergeben sich daraus für den Menschen? Welche Veränderungen zeigen sich durch die digitale Transformation des Arbeitsmarktes für bestehende Beschäftigungsverhältnisse? Woher stammt Crowdwork als neue Form der digitalen Arbeit und wie lässt sich diese neue Erwerbsform in den Arbeitsmarkt integrieren?
