La Agenda 2030 es una consecuencia de ese proceso y comporta un desafío al sistema de cooperación, no solo por la magnitud de los recursos que requiere movilizar, sino también por la ambición y diversidad de objetivos que se propone. Así pues, el sistema de cooperación está emplazado a un mayúsculo cambio, respecto a la estructura que caracterizó a la ayuda internacional a lo largo de las cinco décadas precedentes. Este libro pretende tomar el pulso a ese proceso de cambio del sistema de cooperación, estudiando alguno de sus nuevos componentes. En particular, la atención se centra sobre aquellos espacios más polémicos, como la participación del sector privado, el ascendente campo de la cooperación financiera, las diversas modalidades de cooperación Sur-Sur y triangular, así como los nuevos mecanismos de financiación ambiental. Con ello, el libro pretende contribuir a un debate informado sobre el tipo de cooperación para el desarrollo que se demanda para el futuro.
