Organizado em três blocos temáticos, o livro traz para o debate: os princípios, possibilidades e desafios da formação humana, o diálogo que envolve os pressupostos da educação integral a partir da perspectiva crítica de educação e alguns fundamentos que podem orientar a organização do conhecimento escolar à luz da educação integrada. É um convite à reflexão crítica e a um debate qualificado sobre os desafios que se impõem sobre a educação, em particular a educação pública, na tarefa de se construir verdadeiramente uma escola de formação humana integral e integrada.
