Book excerpt: The sexy, powerful, and heroic half-demon children of the villainous Gulielmus are ready to fall. But love doesn't come easy when you're cursed by your own father. This hot and humorous paranormal bundle features one unforgettable family and five enchanting romances: A Demon in Waiting: Ariel Thomas knows smart women don't stop for hitchhikers, but for once in her regimented life, she decides to offer a gorgeous hobo a ride. John's unsophisticated charm makes Ariel swoon, and he's enthralled by her worldliness. The two fall hard and fast, but Gulielmus wants to put the skids on their cross-country love affair. A Demoness Matched: Liberated from a dangerous cult, Julia Tate needs protection from her incubus father and reclusive former baseball star Calvin Wolff's home is the perfect hideout. But Calvin has a hairy secret, too. When trouble finds them, can a werewolf and a demoness make an out-of-this-world match? A Demon in Love: Charles Edison wants to belong to someone special. But the Fates conspire to right old wrongs, and Charles learns the woman destined for him is one he shouldn't want: Marion Wilder, whose family has been on the supernatural Most Wanted List for twenty-five years. A Demon Bewitched: The last time Claude Fortier fell for a woman, Gulielmus killed her. Nearly 200 years later, Claude's lover is back . . . sort of. Gail Colvard may have been born with his sweet Laurette's soul, but her new-and-improved incarnation is a witch who isn't taking any mess - not from him, and not from dear old dad, either. An Angel Fallen: Mark Mayer gives up being an angel to chase after his would-be beloved, a werewolf who's gone feral because she won't settle with a mate. He's certain that trading his halo and wings for a mortal life with Sweetie is worth it—but convincing one stubborn werewolf that together they can find heaven on earth just might take a Christmas miracle.

Book excerpt: "Tom Simone's translation is simply superb. Of all the translations with which I am familiar, this is the one that is the most faithful to what's there in the Italian: no frills, no poetic sallies, no choosing a word because it brings the line closer to iambic pentameter—just unadulterated Dante with good old Anglo-Saxon words and in highly readable prose." —Peter Kalkavage, St. John's University

Book excerpt: A newly translated volume of the centuries-old spiritual epic of King Gesar. For centuries, the epic tale of Gesar of Ling has been told across Asia. This epic is a living oral tradition, performed widely by singers and bards and beloved especially in Tibet. Considered the longest single piece of literature in the world canon, the epic of Gesar chronicles the legend of King Gesar of Ling, a heroic figure known for his fearless leadership. The epic encompasses some 120 volumes and nearly 20 million words, and there are numerous versions across cultures. This book is the first English translation of the fourth volume of this sweeping literary work, with stories from after Gesar's coronation to the throne of Ling. This volume focuses on battles won and strategies applied, as the warrior-king Gesar fended off demons and liberated his foes. Though largely a violent account focused on his superhuman prowess in battle, this volume is rich with ethical proverbs that inform Tibetan culture to this day. A significant work of legend, the epic of Gesar is also a vital part of Tibetan Buddhism, as Gesar is said to have been chosen by celestial beings to restore order and destroy anti-Buddhist forces. The epic of Gesar is the cultural touchstone of Tibet, analogous to the Iliad or the Odyssey. While Book One covers Gesar's birth, youth, and rise to power, this volume recounts the martial victories and magical feats that made him a legendary figure to so many.

Book excerpt: Abraham Kuyper wrote Pro Rege to bridge the divide between believers' lives inside and outside the church. He believed that a healthy view of Jesus' kingship was essential to closing that gap. In this first volume, Kuyper discusses how Satan's kingdom opposes, undermines, and obscures Christ's kingship. He then lays out the kingship of Christ according to Scripture. From his vantage point at the dawn of the 20th century, Kuyper explains the scope of Christ's dominion over all of life in his own culture--yet does so in a way that also strikingly impacts the 21st-century reader. This new translation of Pro Rege, created in partnership with the Abraham Kuyper Translation Society and the Acton Institute, is part of a major series of new translations of Kuyper's most important writings. The Abraham Kuyper Collected Works in Public Theology marks a historic moment in Kuyper studies, aimed at deepening and enriching the church's development of public theology.

Book excerpt: The 1990s brought surprising industrial development in emerging economies around the globe: firms in countries not previously known for their high-technology industries moved to the forefront in new Information Technologies (IT) by using different business models and carving out unique positions in the global IT production networks. In this book Dan Breznitz asks why economies of different countries develop in different ways, and his answer relies on his exhaustive research into the comparative experiences of Israel, Taiwan, and Ireland--states that made different choices to nurture the growth of their IT industries. The role of the state in economic development has changed, Breznitz concludes, but it has by no means disappeared. He offers a new way of thinking about state-led rapid-innovation-based industrial development that takes into account the ways production and innovation are now conducted globally. And he offers specific guidelines to help states make advantageous decisions about research and development, relationships with foreign firms and investors, and other critical issues.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: So, you’ve got Bugs. How demons cause diseases, most notably; cancer, diabetes, dementia, bipolar syndrome and many others. This is a revealing of a long and well hidden truth about the essence of the spiritual element of the human soul. The world is currently in the throes of descending into an era of war, corruption, criminality, rioting, discontent, severe climate changes, etc, just as predicted in the book of Revelations and one of the main indicators of this is the dramatic, and exponentially rapidly increasing, incidence of auto-immune and psychological diseases. These diseases, despite decades or even millennia of research, have no known or determined chemical or physical initiation of the disease in afflicted people. This book explains how this all ties together and the reason for the existence of all religions and the effect thereon by acquiring a demon and how easy this can happen. No-one is immune to this disease and eternal vigilance is necessary to clear and maintain a pure soul. Here in I have described the manner in which the demon entity overrides the programming of the genome and the brain thought processes to cause aberrant behavior resulting in severe consequences to the spiritual cleanliness of inflicted people and then the method of clearing the demon from the soul permanently. The methodology has very strict rules which have to date never been explained and if not applied correctly will lead to the afflicted person becoming worse off than before (also biblical). I have drawn most of the knowledge herein from the Bible but also from other spiritual writings as well as personal experience.
