Book Synopsis Little Is Much When God Is in It by : Barbara Jones
Download or read book Little Is Much When God Is in It written by Barbara Jones and published by Trafford Publishing. This book was released on 2011-10 with total page 110 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: My heart overflows with a good theme; my tongue is the pen of a ready writer. PSALM 45: l NASB Jesus has been my instructor with divine grace; this is a book about my life. This book back in 1968, without the knowledge of what God had laid out for me in the future. Later in my life, I would pray, almost every night, talking to Jesus. He is my best friend. I would get ready for bed and sleep for a while only to be awakened to a thought in my head that had to be written down. I would sleep for a few more hours, get up, and jot down more notes. I would gather up the notes every morning of the next day. God was trying to tell me something and Jesus was my instructor. God has given me a spirit of divine love all my life. I knew from the time my Mother and Father conceived me that God was in me. Just as a newborn baby, so is God's love. I know that God is in my life every minute, every hour and every day! I didn't realize it before my illness, but God knew exactly what was going to happen to me, when it was going to happen and where it was going to happen. He handled it with His divine spirit and his righteousness. He knew I would grow up in a small town and marry my high school sweetheart, have two beautiful children and give my life to Jesus. He knew I would have 6 precious grandchildren. But most of all he knew the difficult times I would go through, the sickness and pain that my body would endure. But through it all he was with me every step of the way. He was with me through brain biopsies, strokes, and surgeries. He was with my doctors and my family through the difficult times, when they were told I probably wouldn't survive. But he had a plan! That is what my book is about how from my very beginning as a little child to the present God has had a plan for me. This is what I want to share with others; that if we are willing to be His vessel He will be with us every step of the way. God planned my life this way; it was not my time to die. I am so thankful for God's help because I have a lot of things to say and do. Lord; remind me how brief my time is on this earth. Remind me that my days are numbered, and that my life is fleeting away. I am here on this earth for just a little while. Praises to the glory of God! It is because of Him that I have written this book. I want to share with others what God has done in my life and what He can do in yours. This is a powerful book about forgiveness, obedience, grace and healing. It is a beautiful depiction of how loving God and loving others can bring you to Christ. I am a miracle of the Lord Jesus Savior. Praise the Lord!

Book Synopsis Dedication by : Anthony J. Valleriano
Download or read book Dedication written by Anthony J. Valleriano and published by . This book was released on 2012 with total page 218 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: An illustrated compendium of a prolific designer of Ohio churches Akron-based architect William P. Ginther (1858-1933) designed sixty-three Roman Catholic churches, primarily in Ohio and Pennsylvania. Dedication is the first book to document his architectural designs. By combining historical images with twenty-first-century photographs, author Anthony J. Valleriano presents the most comprehensive overview of Ginther's architectural career available today. The son of German immigrants, Ginther demonstrated considerable drawing skills at an early age. In grade school, he was known for illustrating pictures of the school building and grounds. As his skills advanced, Ginther was encouraged to study architecture as a profession at Buchtel College (now the University of Akron). Frank Wheary, a leading Akron architect of the time, spotted Ginther's drawing talents and promptly put him to work. Under Wheary's guidance, Ginther learned the craft of architectural drafting and engineering and helped design and supervise the construction of his first building, McKinley Church, in Canton, Ohio. Ginther became one of the most influential ecclesiastical architects in Ohio during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The designer of churches in Cleveland, Akron, Columbus, Pittsburgh, Erie, and many other communities, he defined the sense of sacred space for countless worshipers and enriched the aesthetic and religious lives of the region's residents. Those interested in religious architecture or in Ohio historical architecture will find Dedication a valuable addition to their libraries.

Book Synopsis The Bible is Black History by : Theron D Williams
Download or read book The Bible is Black History written by Theron D Williams and published by Bible Is Black History Institute, LLC. This book was released on 2022-08-03 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: We live in an age when younger African-American Christians are asking tough questions that previous generations would dare not ask. This generation doesn't hesitate to question the validity of the Scriptures, the efficacy of the church, and even the historicity of Jesus. Young people are becoming increasingly curious about what role, if any, did people of African descent play in biblical history? Or, if the Bible is devoid of Black presence, and is merely a book by Europeans, about Europeans and for Europeans to the exclusion of other races and ethnicities? Dr. Theron D. Williams makes a significant contribution to this conversation by answering the difficult questions this generation fearlessly poses. Dr. Williams uses facts from the Bible, well-respected historians, scientists, and DNA evidence to prove that Black people comprised the biblical Israelite community. He also shares historical images from the ancient catacombs that vividly depict the true likeness of the biblical Israelites. This book does not change the biblical text, but it will change how you understand it.This Second Edition provides updated information and further elucidation of key concepts. Also, at the encouragement of readership, this edition expands some of the ideas and addresses concerns my readership felt pertinent to this topic.

Book excerpt: In The Chronological History of the Roanoke Missionary Baptist Association and Its Founders from 18661966, Dr. L. Morings Boone has created a historical memorial to the founding fathers of the Roanoke Missionary Baptist Association. These men played a great part in shaping the destiny of the members of the Roanoke Missionary Baptist Association. Distinguished in their religious and public life, these men left their stamp on the history of the Negro Church of Northeastern North Carolina and Virginia. Dr. L. Morings Boone has done another tremendous job of restoring a history and legacy of African-American clergy who established a ministerial alliance against the backdrop of racial oppression and dismal circumstances. These faithful and courageous founding fathers led their congregations in such a way as to establish the Roanoke Institute to educate the children of northeastern North Carolina. Dr. Boone has searched tirelessly into the history of the association to discover the passionate work that drove these men against the tyranny of southern discrimination to elevate their communities through their Missionary Baptist efforts and through public education.
