Timothy G. Ashplant is a member of the Research Center for Literature and Cultural History at Liverpool John Moores University. He has published on psychoanalysis and history, and the life-writings of working-class men and women in Britain. Graham Dawson teaches cultural and historical studies at the University of Brighton. His publications include Soldier Heroes: British Adventure, Empire and the Imagining of Masculinities, and Trauma and Life Stories (with Kim Lacy Rogers and Selma Leydesdorff). Michael Roper works as a social and cultural historian in the Department of Sociology at the University of Essex.
