Book excerpt: Inhaltsangabe:Einleitung: Die Zukunft der demografischen Entwicklung in Deutschland kann nahezu sicher vorhergesagt werden. Die Bevölkerung in Deutschland wird zunehmend älter. Die Auswirkungen auf das Sozialversicherungssystem, aber vor allem auf die zu-künftigen Arbeits- und Beschäftigungsstrukturen sind gravierend. So wird der Anteil der über 50-Jährigen an der Bevölkerung im Erwerbsalter nach 2010 deutlich weiter steigen, derjenige der 20- bis 30-Jährigen weiter abnehmen. Bis zum Jahr 2020 wird es mehr über 50-jährige als unter 30-jährige Erwerbstätige geben, da die geburtenstarken Jahrgänge (1946 bis 1964) älter werden. Die Unternehmen in Deutschland müssen sich daher mit einem steigenden Durchschnittsalter der Beschäftigten auseinandersetzen und entsprechende Personalentwicklungsmaßnahmen einleiten, die die Probleme der demografischen Entwicklung berücksichtigen. Die Diplomarbeit mit dem Thema Darstellung und Bewertung personalpolitischer Entwicklungsmaßnahmen zur Erhaltung der Arbeitsfähigkeit älterer Arbeitnehmer unter Berücksichtigung der demografischen Entwicklung wird sich mit dem Problem des demografischen Wandels in der Arbeitswelt auseinandersetzen. Dabei wird aufgezeigt, dass damit verbundene Gefahren, wie das Erlahmen der wirtschaftlichen Dynamik, Verlust von Innovationskraft und Einschränkung der Leistungsfähigkeit für Unternehmen, Verknappung von qualifizierten Arbeitskräften und wachsende Arbeitslosigkeit, keine unmittelbaren Folgen der demografischen Entwicklung sein müssen, sondern dass sich Unternehmen und Staat durch eine rechtzeitige und angemessene Beschäftigungs- und Arbeitsmarktpolitik dem demografischen Wandel erfolgreich anpassen können. Gang der Untersuchung: Die zentrale Fragestellung der Diplomarbeit lautet daher wie folgt: Welche personal- und arbeitsmarktpolitischen Entwicklungs- bzw. Beschäftigungsmaßnahmen können durch Betriebe und die Politik in Deutschland eingesetzt werden, um die Unternehmen in Zukunft unter Berücksichtigung des demografischen Wandels erfolgreich auszurichten? Ziel der Diplomarbeit ist es, diese Fragestellung eingehend zu analysieren, um in Form eines Fazits am Ende der Diplomarbeit eine konkrete Antwort auf die o. g.
