Davis) sob efeito de reguladores de crescimento. Para estudo do desenvolvimento e produtividade da soja realizaram-se tres experimentos. No primeiro deles, efetuou-se, em condicoes de casa de vegetacao, aplicacao de cloreto (2-cloroetil) trimetilamonio (CCC) a 2.000 ppm, acido succinico - 2,2 -dimethilhidrazida (SADH) 4.000 ppm, acido giberelico (GA) 100 ppm e acido indolilacetico (IAA) 100 ppm. No segundo, realizou-se em condicoes de casa de vegetacao, pulverizacao de acido 2,3,5-triiodobenzoico (TIBA) 20 ppm, Agrostemin (1g/10 ml/3 l), GA 100 ppm e CCC 2.000 ppm. No terceiroexperimento, efetuou-se, em condicoes de campo, aplicacao de GA 100 ppm, CCC 2.000 ppm, IAA 100 ppm, SADH 4.000 ppm, Agrostemin (1g/10 ml/3 l) e TIBA 20 ppm. Nestes experimentos verificaram-se que tratamento com GA aumentou a altura das plantas de soja, sendo que o SADH e o CCC reduziram a altura das plantas. O numero total de folhas da soja tendeu a ser aumentado com CCC e SADH; sendo que o numero de folhas na haste principal foi incrementado pelo GA e o numero de folhas nas hastes secundarias foi elevado pelo SADH. GA aumentou o numero de meritalos na planta da soja. SADH reduziu e GA aumentou o comprimento do quarto meritalo da planta estudada. O diametro do caule da soja foi aumentado com CCC. Book excerpt: Este trabalho foi conduzido durante a estacao de crescimento 1979/80, na Estacao Experimental Agronomica da UFRGS (Guaiba-RS), com o objetivo de se estudar o efeito de irrigacao em diferentes estadios de desenvolvimento, de populacao de plantas, de espacamento entre fileiras, e das interacoes desses fatores sobre o desenvolvimento da planta, rendimento, componentes do rendimento, caracteristicas agronomicas e qualidade da semente de soja. A irrigacao nao afetou de forma significativa o rendimento, no entanto, irrigacao durante o periodo vegetativo e o florescimento aumentaram o peso de 100 sementes. A estatura da planta e o comprimento dos entre-nos foram incrementados devido a irrigacao durante o periodo vegetativo. A populacao de 350.000 plantas por hectarefoi inferior as de 250.000 e 450.000 plantas por hectare quanto ao rendimento de graos. O numero de legumes por planta foi superior na populacao de 250.000, nao diferindo entre as outras duas. Conforme se aumentou o espacamento entre fileiras, houve decrescimo no rendimento de graos por area e por planta, no numero final de plantas por area, no numero de legumes por planta e no numero de sementes por legume. De maneira geral, obtiveram-se sementes de menor qualidade com o emprego de espacamentos afastados entre fileiras.
