Book Synopsis Optimal Design of Experiments by : Friedrich Pukelsheim
Download or read book Optimal Design of Experiments written by Friedrich Pukelsheim and published by SIAM. This book was released on 2006-04-01 with total page 527 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Optimal Design of Experiments offers a rare blend of linear algebra, convex analysis, and statistics. The optimal design for statistical experiments is first formulated as a concave matrix optimization problem. Using tools from convex analysis, the problem is solved generally for a wide class of optimality criteria such as D-, A-, or E-optimality. The book then offers a complementary approach that calls for the study of the symmetry properties of the design problem, exploiting such notions as matrix majorization and the Kiefer matrix ordering. The results are illustrated with optimal designs for polynomial fit models, Bayes designs, balanced incomplete block designs, exchangeable designs on the cube, rotatable designs on the sphere, and many other examples.

Book Synopsis Radome Electromagnetic Theory and Design by : Reuven Shavit
Download or read book Radome Electromagnetic Theory and Design written by Reuven Shavit and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2018-07-23 with total page 309 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: em style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;"Radome Electromagnetic Theory and Design explores the theoretical tools and methods required to design radomes that are fully transparent to the electromagnetic energy transmitted or received by the enclosed antenna. A radome is a weatherproof and camouflaged enclosure that protects the enclosed radar or communication antenna, and are typically used on a fixed or moving platform such as an aircraft, ship or missile. The author — a noted expert in the field — examines the theoretical methods that apply to all type of radomes: planar, conformal, airborne and ground based. The text offers a description of the various measurement methods that characterise the electrical parameters of a radome, and discusses their merits in terms of accuracy. This groundbreaking book brings together in one volume all the necessary theoretical tools to design radomes

Book Synopsis Optimal Design of Experiments by : Friedrick Pukelsheim
Download or read book Optimal Design of Experiments written by Friedrick Pukelsheim and published by Wiley-Interscience. This book was released on 1993-03-22 with total page 486 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Devoted to a unified optimality theory, merging three otherwise distinct mathematical disciplines to embrace an astonishingly wide variety of design problems. Outlines typical settings, namely D-, A-, and E-optimal, polynominal regression designs, Bayesian designs, structures for model discrimination, balanced incomplete block arrangements or rotatable response surface designs. The design problems stem from statistics but are solved using special tools from linear algebra and convex analysis.
