Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: ON APPORTE UNE CONTRIBUTION A L'ETUDE DES RECURRENCES NON LINEAIRES DANS LES CAS OU: A) LA RECURRENCE CONSIDEREE EST ASSOCIEE A UN MODELE MATHEMATIQUE SOUS FORME D'EQUATION DIFFERENTIELLE AFIN DE FACILITER L'ETUDE DE SES SOLUTIONS; B) LA RECURRENCE EST LE MODELE MATHEMATIQUE DIRECT. ON TRAITE UNE METHODE QUI ASSOCIE UNE TRANSFORMATION PONCTUELLE A UN SYSTEME DIFFERENTIEL DU SECOND ORDRE, NON LINEAIRE A COEFFICIENTS PERIODIQUES. ON ETUDIE LES CAS D'EXCEPTION DANS LES TRANSFORMATIONS PONCTUELLES DU QUATRIEME ORDRE A MULTIPLICATEURS COMPLEXES: MISE EN EVIDENCE DES DIFFERENTS CAS, APPLICATION A L'ETUDE DE LA STABILITE LOCALE DE LA POSITION D'EQUILIBRE (RAMENEE A L'ORIGINE). ON FOURNIT UN EXEMPLE DE SYSTEMES OU APPARAIT L'INTERET DE LA NOTION DE BIFURCATION (TECHNIQUE DE COMMANDE PAR MODULATION D'IMPULSIONS)

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Synopsis Recurrence Sequences by : Graham Everest
Download or read book Recurrence Sequences written by Graham Everest and published by American Mathematical Soc.. This book was released on 2015-09-03 with total page 338 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Recurrence sequences are of great intrinsic interest and have been a central part of number theory for many years. Moreover, these sequences appear almost everywhere in mathematics and computer science. This book surveys the modern theory of linear recurrence sequences and their generalizations. Particular emphasis is placed on the dramatic impact that sophisticated methods from Diophantine analysis and transcendence theory have had on the subject. Related work on bilinear recurrences and an emerging connection between recurrences and graph theory are covered. Applications and links to other areas of mathematics are described, including combinatorics, dynamical systems and cryptography, and computer science. The book is suitable for researchers interested in number theory, combinatorics, and graph theory.

Book Synopsis Early Days in Complex Dynamics by : Daniel S. Alexander
Download or read book Early Days in Complex Dynamics written by Daniel S. Alexander and published by American Mathematical Soc.. This book was released on 2012 with total page 474 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The theory of complex dynamics, whose roots lie in 19th-century studies of the iteration of complex function conducted by Koenigs, Schoder, and others, flourished remarkably during the first half of the 20th century, when many of the central ideas and techniques of the subject developed. This book paints a robust picture of the field of complex dynamics between 1906 and 1942 through detailed discussions of the work of Fatou, Julia, Siegel, and several others.

Book Synopsis Fields Medallists' Lectures by : Michael Atiyah
Download or read book Fields Medallists' Lectures written by Michael Atiyah and published by World Scientific. This book was released on 1997-10-13 with total page 644 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Although the Fields Medal does not have the same public recognition as the Nobel Prizes, they share a similar intellectual standing. It is restricted to one field - that of mathematics - and an age limit of 40 has become an accepted tradition. Mathematics has in the main been interpreted as pure mathematics, and this is not so unreasonable since major contributions in some applied areas can be (and have been) recognized with Nobel Prizes. The restriction to 40 years is of marginal significance, since most mathematicians have made their mark long before this age.A list of Fields Medallists and their contributions provides a bird's eye view of mathematics over the past 60 years. It highlights the areas in which, at various times, greatest progress has been made. This volume does not pretend to be comprehensive, nor is it a historical document. On the other hand, it presents contributions from 22 Fields Medallists and so provides a highly interesting and varied picture. The contributions themselves represent the choice of the individual Medallists. In some cases the articles relate directly to the work for which the Fields Medals were awarded. In other cases new articles have been produced which relate to more current interests of the Medallists. This indicates that while Fields Medallists must be under 40 at the time of the award, their mathematical development goes well past this age. In fact the age limit of 40 was chosen so that young mathematicians would be encouraged in their future work. The Fields Medallists' Lectures is now available on CD-ROM.
