Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Force Point (Fp) Counting will help you to count your hand directly in contract tricks (the tricks that are above the initial 6 tricks, which are not counted in the game of bridge). The Fp Counting itself is a new low of the Total Tricks, much better than the old one. The sum of both hands contract tricks, yours and your partner, will give to you the game's Play Level (PL). No need evaluations by the time of the initial count, but one of you, who will ask his partner to reveal the exact distribution (between around 500 possible distributions), must apply some tricks' adjustments when a new distribution changes are discovered by the time of the Bidding. When you discover partner's exact shape, you will ask for the exact number of the contract tricks, thus finding your exact PL. Then if the PL = 5.5 you must ask your partner for all of the TOP Honors. With Fp you will be able to discover all of the partner's Aces + Kings + Queens with one only question - one answer! No other bridge system is capable of doing that! Then you have to calculate the final PL, and may ask your partner where are the TOP Honors or directly to choose the final contract. The calculations are for a 7 grader, so the difficult decisions in the game of bridge proved to be a simple arithmetic, not even a math. Using one only SCOR-SCOR Convention for all of your Distribution and Control needs (along with the classical Stayman, of course) will allow to you to see transparently the exact cards and lengths of the suits of your partner before the attack. The Playing is your own responsibility, I can only assist you about the Bidding. On Bidding Contests with 12 TOP Matchpoint scoring, Fp will provide to you no less than 70% (usually close to 80%), but pay attention that on such Contests you will have to bid most difficult distributional games collected around the world. For the love of the Game Force Point Bidding Developer: Mr. Pawell Boiew

This book was released on 2018-04-05 with total page 256 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the final decades of the nineteenth century modernizing interpretations of leisure became of interest to social policy makers and cultural critics, producing a discourse of leisure and voluntarism that flourished until the Second World War. The free time of British citizens was increasingly seen as a sphere of social citizenship and community-building. Through major social thinkers, including William Morris, Thomas Hill Green, Bernard Bosanquet and John Hobson, leisure and voluntarism were theorized in terms of the good society. In post-First World War social reconstruction these writers remained influential as leisure became a field of social service, directed towards a new society and working through voluntary association in civic societies, settlements, new estate community-centres, village halls and church-based communities. This volume documents the parallel cultural shift from charitable philanthropy to social service and from rational recreation to leisure, teasing out intellectual influences which included social idealism, liberalism and socialism. Leisure, Robert Snape claims, has been a central and under-recognized organizing force in British communities. Leisure, Voluntary Action and Social Change in Britain, 1880-1939 marks a much needed addition to the historiography of leisure and an antidote to the widely misunderstood implications of leisure to social policy today.

The suits ranking downward in order are spades, hearts, diamonds, clubs; and the cards ranking downward in order are ace, king, queen, jack, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2.There are four players, two against two as partners, who face each other across the table. To determine partners, a pack may be spread facedown for each player to draw a card (not valid are any of the four cards at either end). The players drawing the two highest cards would then play as partners, the highest having choice of seats and cards (when two packs are used) and becoming the first dealer. If five or six wish to play in the same game, the draw establishes precedence: the player lowest in order of precedence sits out until the end of the first rubber, when he replaces the next lowest in the order. If two players draw cards of the same rank, the card of the higher-ranking suit takes precedence over the other.Get your copy today by scrolling up and clicking Buy Now to get your copy today

This book was released on 2011-12-09 with total page 416 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Knowledge how to do things is a pervasive and central element of everyday life. Yet it raises many difficult questions that must be answered by philosophers and cognitive scientists aspiring to understand human cognition and agency. What is the connection between knowing how and knowing that? Is knowledge how simply a type of ability or disposition to act? Is there an irreducibly practical form of knowledge? What is the role of the intellect in intelligent action? This volume contains fifteen state of the art essays by leading figures in philosophy and linguistics that amplify and sharpen the debate between intellectualists and anti-intellectualists about mind and action, highlighting the conceptual, empirical, and linguistic issues that motivate and sustain the conflict. The essays also explore various ways in which this debate informs central areas of ethics, philosophy of action, epistemology, philosophy of language, and philosophy of mind and cognitive science. Knowing How covers a broad range of topics dealing with tacit and procedural knowledge, the psychology of skill, expertise, intelligence and intelligent action, the nature of ability, the syntax and semantics of embedded questions, the mind-body problem, phenomenal character, epistemic injustice, moral knowledge, the epistemology of logic, linguistic competence, the connection between knowledge and understanding, and the relation between theory and practice. This is the book on knowing how--an invaluable resource for philosophers, linguists, psychologists, and others concerned with knowledge, mind, and action.
