Why CDs think and act the way they do. Etiquette in the room, Agencies worth noting, Even hotspots in LA Night Life!! She writes so that you feel like you're actually in front of her, having a conversation. I met Cathy shortly after reading her book for the first time and can testify, there is nothing fake about her! She represents everything she teaches and thus practices what she preaches. In her book she talks about loving actors who are genuinely great people inside. She is this, in the form of a casting director and educator." "There is SO much valuable information in this book for actors with all levels of experience. I keep it with my audition materials and handy for inspiration. Read this book, re-read, and use it as a reference. It will change your life, or at least your acting career for the better!"

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "The history of National Socialism in Austria has not been widely examined. It was not until 1981 that an English language history was available on the "forgotten Nazis" in Austria, yet the country was well known to have been a breeding ground of Nazism. Editor F. Parkinson assembled a group of historians and political scientists to undertake a scholarly inquiry into all ramifications of Nazism in Austria before and after the Anschluss. They investigated the activities and attitudes of those in power as well as those in all other segments of the population, whether in Vienna or in the provinces, whether organized in political parties or professing certain creeds. Contributors outline Austria's political decline during the last half of the nineteenth century, Austrian inability to restore the monarchist system during the first republic, the slide of conservatives and socialists to National Socialism, reactions to National Socialism between 1938 and 1945, and the reconstruction of republicanism since 1945, with its emphasis on political conservatism. Solicited to mark the anniversary of the Anschluss, the essays in this volume will be of interest to specialists in Austrian history, students of the Holocaust and Nazi period, and historians of modern Central and Eastern Europe." Book excerpt: Working as a Casting Director has allowed me to observe the many frequent mistakes actors make during the audition process. Mistakes that hurt their chances of being selected for a call back audition or booked on a project. I realized the biggest reasons for these mistakes are lack of knowledge about the audition process and fear of the unknown. The industry is always looking for new faces to fill their roles so I felt the need to write a very simple step by step book that walks the new actor through the actual audition process and eliminates the fear of the unknown. Actors will learn how to use their own personality, traits, looks, characteristics when going after roles. They will learn to be themselves during the audition process and not who they wish they were. Learning the ins and outs from the moment you receive your audition notice to the actual audition process will eliminate fears and build confidence in you as an actor. This book also offers sample scripts, headshot samples as well as simple resume formatting guidelines which are necessary tools of the trade. Clients will begin to appreciate you as an actor rather than focus on your lack of experience and hopefully you will be the solution to their next project!
