Book Synopsis Comptes Rendus Du 15ème Congrès Européen de Mécanique Des Sols & de Géotechnique : la Géotechnique Des Sols Indurés, Roches Tendres by : Andreas Anagnostopoulos
Download or read book Comptes Rendus Du 15ème Congrès Européen de Mécanique Des Sols & de Géotechnique : la Géotechnique Des Sols Indurés, Roches Tendres written by Andreas Anagnostopoulos and published by IOS Press. This book was released on 2013 with total page 664 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This publication contains the papers presented at the 15th European Conference on Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ECSMGE), held in Athens, Greece. Considerable progress has been made in recent decades in understanding the engineering behavior of those hard soils and weak rocks that clearly fall into either the field of soil or of rock mechanics, and there have been important developments in design and construction methods to cope with them. Progress would be even more desirable, however, for those materials which fall into the 'grey' area between soils and rocks. They present particular challenges due to their diversity, the difficulties and problems arising in their identification and classification, their sampling and testing and in the establishment of suitable models to adequately describe their behavior. The publication aims to provide an updated overview of the existing worldwide knowledge of the geological features, engineering properties and behavior of such hard soils and weak rocks, with particular reference to the design and construction methods and problems associated with these materials. Part 4 was published post-conference and includes Conference Reports.

Book Synopsis Geotechnical Modelling by : David Muir Wood
Download or read book Geotechnical Modelling written by David Muir Wood and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2017-12-21 with total page 582 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Modelling forms an implicit part of all engineering design but many engineers engage in modelling without consciously considering the nature, validity and consequences of the supporting assumptions. Derived from courses given to postgraduate and final year undergraduate MEng students, this book presents some of the models that form a part of the typical undergraduate geotechnical curriculum and describes some of the aspects of soil behaviour which contribute to the challenge of geotechnical modelling. Assuming a familiarity with basic soil mechanics and traditional methods of geotechnical design, this book is a valuable tool for students of geotechnical and structural and civil engineering as well as also being useful to practising engineers involved in the specification of numerical or physical geotechnical modelling.

Download or read book Mécanique des sols et des roches (TGC volume 18) written by Laurent Vulliet and published by EPFL Press. This book was released on 2016-06-28 with total page 628 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
Book Synopsis Les essais in situ en géotechnique by : Jacques Monnet
Download or read book Les essais in situ en géotechnique written by Jacques Monnet and published by ISTE Group. This book was released on 2016-02-01 with total page 395 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Synopsis Géotechnique - 2e éd. by : Clément Desodt
Download or read book Géotechnique - 2e éd. written by Clément Desodt and published by Dunod. This book was released on 2020-01-08 with total page 288 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
