Whoever jumps lacks a base and will fall by gravity; but those who grow have a solid foundation and they shall abide. The will of God for every Christian is prosperity (3John 1: 2). 2 Corinthians 8: 9 reveals that Christ was rich, yet for our sakes He became poor, that we through His poverty might become rich. So in simple sense: He became poor so we might become rich. Remember that the scripture cannot be broken (John 10: 35). So where do we now place poor Christians? Why are many Christians poor and beggarly? Is there something these folks are not doing well? Do you know that some ignorant people even feel that Christianity is a religion for the poor? No! The God we serve is the most successful individual in the whole universe. He owns everything in the whole wide world (Psalm 24: 1). If your father (God) is rich and you are His heir, then that poverty in your life is a terrible error that this book in your hand has come to eradicate. Read this book with a teachable heart and be prepared to apply the biblical principles therein. It will transport you from the realm of poverty to prosperity. He also argues against extravagance, irresponsible spending, or self-indulgence, instead promoting the administration of capital during one's lifetime toward the cause of reducing the stratification between the rich and poor. Though written more than a century ago, Carnegie's words still ring true today, urging a better, more equitable world through greater social consciousness.
