Book excerpt: Enjoy this epic fantasy series by N. M. Zoltack with plenty of courtly intrigue, murder, action, and adventure! The Keepers of the Flames have longed for the dragons to return, but when the dragons finally breathe life once again, they focus more on breathing fire than the air. The war between Tenoch and Vincana is as strong as ever, but perhaps the only chance humans have is to unite and fight against the dragons, their long-ago protectors. Is it possible for the people to live long enough for peace to return? Or will the dragons burn the world to ashes for having been deceived and rejected? One thing is certain. When claws and swords collide, the world will forever be changed and not necessarily for the better. Book excerpt: After Big Bang, Dark Matter, Dark Energy, and Universe expansion debunking in my book "Time Matters" from 2021, I asked myself "How hard could it be to validate Bob Lazar's story?" So, I started with the "frozen candle" episode, because it was about time dilation and because this episode, on the surface, contradicted my own experience described in chapter 12. But all (new) physics has checked out! The same result was with another episode, and another ... Now I agree with Dr. Edgar Mitchell, Apollo 14 Astronaut, who said about Bob Lazar: "His basic story is true - that he was too exposed to what he thought were alien craft and attempts to engineer and back engineer it. I think that his explanation of what's going on and his theory that he's utilizing is probably not on target." In plain English - Bob described real events, but he used wrong theory when trying to explain the observations. But now we have the right theory (this book starts with it, though you can skip it, except for chapter 1 - which is must read), and it checks out with Bob Lazar’s anecdotes.

So, I started with the "frozen candle" episode, because it was about time dilation, and I am good at it. And besides, this episode, on the surface, contradicted with my own experience described in chapter 12. But all (new) physics has checked out! The same result was with another episode, and another ... But now we have the right theory (this book starts with it, though you can skip it, except for chapter 1 - which is must read), and it checks out with Bob Lazar’s anecdotes. Reading this book does not require advanced knowledge of physics. A teenager with the help of a science teacher or with the help of the Internet can understand it. Understanding reflection and refraction would be enough to start with. This book can be read two ways. Chapter by chapter - but that might be boring to you. Better try another way: read chapter 1 to get a grasp on time dilation, redshift, and refraction. Then jump to chapter 13 and continue reading there, sometimes going back to earlier chapters when they are referenced. Engineers, check chapter 30 first: like a fridge once impossible, Bob Lazar’s craft becomes possible. Everybody else check chapter 39 first: it gives a general impression on how physics solves Bob Lazar’s story.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Arc-continent collision has been one of the important tectonic processes in the formation of mountain belts throughout geological time, and it continues to be so today along tectonically active plate boundaries such as those in the SW Pacific or the Caribbean. Arc-continent collision is thought to have been one of the most important process involved in the growth of the continental crust over geological time, and may also play an important role in its recycling back into the mantle via subduction. Understanding the geological processes that take place during arc-continent collision is therefore of importance for our understanding of how collisional orogens evolve and how the continental crust grows or is destroyed. Furthermore, zones of arc-continent collision are producers of much of the worlds primary economic wealth in the form of minerals, so understanding the processes that take place during these tectonic events is of importance in modeling how this mineral wealth is formed and preserved. This book brings together seventeen papers that are dedicated to the investigation of the tectonic processes that take place during arc-continent collision. It is divided into four sections that deal firstly with the main players involved in any arc-continent collision; the continental margin, the subduction zone, and finally the volcanic arc and its mineral deposits. The second section presents eight examples of arc-continent collisions that range from being currently active through to Palaeoproterozoic in age. The third section contains two papers, one that deals with the obduction of large-slab ophiolites and a second that presents a wide range of physical models of arc-continent collision. The fourth section brings everything that comes before together into a discussion of the processes of arc-continent collision.

Book excerpt: Jack is both the first comprehensive one-volume biography of JFK and the first account of his life based on the extensive documentary record that has finally become available, including personal diaries, taped conversations from the White House, recently declassified government documents, extensive family correspondence, and crucial interviews sealed for nearly forty years. Jack provides a much-needed perspective on Kennedy’s bewilderingly complex personality, presents a compelling account of the volatile relationship between Jack and Jackie (including her attempt to divorce him, move to Hollywood, and become a film star), and reveals how JFK forged the modern political campaign and, once in the White House, modernized the presidency. Jack: A Life Like No Other is a book like no other. Here, at last, John F. Kennedy seems to step off the page in all his vitality, charm, and originality.
