Although you may get cold any time of the year, normally flu seasons start from late fall through the winter, they are caused by any of more than two hundred viruses, but most common ones are rhinoviruses, that infect the upper respiratory tract. Difference between Colds and Flu It is important to know the difference between the two. The difference mostly lies in severity and duration of the condition. There are over 100 viruses that can cause common colds, but these two viruses rhinoviruses and coronaviruses usually cause common colds. However, weakness, fatigue, dry cough, and a reduced ability to exercise may continue for three to seven days.
