Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: 55% Off for Bookstore! NOW at 34.95 Instead of 44.95!! Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy is a relatively young practice among therapy models. It was developed by psychologist Aaron Beck in the 1960s, and it is the model used by most psychologists in modern times. It has shown to be particularly successful in the treatment of depression and anxiety because these disorders are fed by distorted thought patterns. With anxiety, a person feels a sense of impending doom. With Depression, a person feels a lack of hope about the future or motivation to change it. These disorders have a very toxic relationship with distorted thought patterns. While anxiety and depression set these types of negative thought patterns in motion, they are also fed by them and become more severe because of distorted thinking. The first thing a therapist is likely to do is leading their patient to a place where they are aware of their thought patterns. Once the problem is acknowledged, then the door to solving it is opened. You do not need to suffer from anxiety or depression in order to develop distorted thoughts. Most, if not all of us have at least one negative thinking pattern. It can come in the form of insecurity about our appearance. It can be a pessimistic outlook on life. It can be thought that other people do not like us. Whatever form it takes on, this thought pattern is a distorted one because it inhibits us from growing into our fullest potential and causes us to have a bleak view of the world. The patient might be given a thought record. It has the appearance of a calendar and the patient is expected to write down their thoughts from day to day in order to discover trends in their thought processes. The next step in CBT is for the patient to set goals for themselves. These can be small at first. In fact, it is more effective to set a small, more achievable goal for yourself. This will help you to develop more positive thinking. As you accomplish these smaller goals, it will allow you to work up to larger ones because you will feel more capable of controlling your own fate. Negative thought patterns are rooted in and thrive on a person's idea that they are at the mercy of the world around them and do not have control over what happens to them. An example of this could be a person with social anxiety delivering a speech to a small audience, working up to performing in an auditorium full of people. Ultimately in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, the patient is to work towards desensitizing themselves through a technique that is known as exposure therapy. This is a very difficult stage because the patient has to face the source of their distorted thought patterns. You want to know more? If yes, then this book is for you

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Are you feeling gripped by an overwhelming emotion of depression? Do you feel dreadful from anxiety? Do you find yourself lashing out explosively in anger over everything and at everyone? Or do you frequently experience panic attacks striking without warning? If so, then read on... The fact is, we have all found ourselves being overcome by overwhelming emotions at some point in our life. However, when emotionally thrown off balance by these emotions, it is our primary responsibility to take intentional steps toward finding relief as soon as possible. In the late stages of my emotional breakdown episode and in my search for emotional freedom, I came across a fascinating treatment option that seemed very powerful and quite different from other treatment options available for people who suffered from depression, anxiety, and panic attacks. This treatment option is called Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). As I dug deeper into the inner workings of this therapy, the more I realized how depression, anxiety, anger and panic overtake our thoughts and plunge it into harmful directions, and how CBT can help retrain how we think and behave to serve us better. To achieve the health and lifestyle of your dreams, you first have to understand how your mind works; this is where CBT comes in. In this book, you will discover how you can reinvent your thoughts and your life to find true happiness. CBT is not only drug-free but entirely safe and scientifically proven to work. With the case studies and practice exercises in this book to guide you along the process, you are on your way to reclaiming control over your overall health and mental wellbeing. This book is designed to serve those who haven't heard of CBT, those who currently work with a therapist, or are therapists or counselors themselves. At the end of this book, you will: Understand how your thoughts determine your feelings and behaviors Discover science-backed research why CBT is a very effective therapeutic option in the treatment of depression, anxiety, anger, and panic attacks Be enlightened on how the negative thoughts that fuel your negative emotions develop, and how you can identify them when they come to mind Uncover life hacks that you can apply right away to challenge and replace your negative thoughts with more balanced, healthy, and rational thoughts Know how to make your new, restructured thoughts your second nature, and how to monitor your feelings to prevent a relapse Discover tailored and proven techniques you can start right now and how you can apply them to overcome depression, end anxiety, manage anger, and stop panic attacks ...and much more! Now, you have a choice to get back control of your emotions and mental health. The question is, will you choose to remain in the same negative thought pattern making your life a living nightmare? Or would you rather brave up, retrain your brain and live your best life? I hope you choose the latter. To begin, get this book right now

Book excerpt: Do you easily get stressed out? Having problems on sleeping? Well we have the solution for you! Ever heard of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that the world can sometimes get to be a bit too much. It's easy to become stressed out. It's easy to feel like you have the weight of the world on your shoulders. This is especially true if you find yourself around very toxic people. They engage in damaging habitual behaviors or they consistently spout negativity. It's easy to find yourself living in some sort of toxic emotional and psychological soup. You're just too stressed out, too anxious and on edge. Interestingly enough, however, you're not technically suffering from chemical-based depression or an anxiety disorder. If you think about it, this is actually worse than living with some sort of mental condition, like chemical depression. "Chemical" depression is a type of depression in which your brain's biochemical compounds and neurotransmitters are not properly balanced. Your nerve cells aren't communicating in the optimal way and you find yourself depressed. In these situations, generally speaking, selective antidepressants such as serotonin reuptake inhibitors can help you quite a bit.Of course, this doesn't apply across the board. A certain percentage of people do not respond at all to that type of treatment. However, for many people suffering from chemical or clinical depression, antidepressants and other chemical-based pharmaceutical treatments can help. Unfortunately, depression and anxiety, as well as a general sense of unhappiness cannot be simply dismissed as a product of biochemical processes in the human brain. There's a lot involved. You may have two people with the same tendency for depression, but if their environment and attitudes are different, there's a high chance that they won't suffer from the same problems. This book includes: Information on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Give you Insights on How to Become Happy Strategies to Eliminate Problems Insights on Worry, Fear, and Anxiety How to Keep Calm and Manage Your Anger And soo much more!! Make no mistake; when you are going through a tough time, there is an alternative that you can try. One very effective alternative treatment for depression and anxiety is cognitive behavioral therapy. This is a therapy that involves changing the way you look at things. It doesn't involve chemical compounds. It doesn't involve ingesting synthetic materials. Instead, it involves you taking control of how you actively look at yourself, your world, and your place in it. A large number of people report great results due to their use of cognitive behavioral therapy. If you're looking for a solution that doesn't involve you taking a pill and you're looking for a longer-term solution than antidepressant or anti-anxiety medication, you are reading the right book. Please understand there is no such thing as a perfect therapy or solution for anxiety or depression. There will always be advantages and disadvantages. There will always be room for improvement. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Are you looking for a definitive way to solve the anxiety problem? Are you tired to be always stressed? Cognitive-behavioral therapy is the answer you've been waiting for. Believe it or not, our thoughts have flaws, even when we have the best intentions at heart. Human beings are subjective at the most basic level meaning that they view things from a personal angle. For instance, if one sees a drunk person lying by the roadside, he/she might judge the person harshly and leave him/her there. However, if that person was a close relative, he/she is likely to get concerned and even help the person. Most of our thoughts are influenced by our relationships and perspectives. If we were to be objective, most of our thoughts could be different. Have you ever used those phone apps that make you look different, for instance, the face app? Or a funhouse mirror, a concave or convex lens? If you have used any of the above, then you know a lot about distortions. When you see yourself in the funhouse mirror, is that you? Are those your feet? Is that your real nose or some else's? Yes, everything you have seen in that mirror is you, but a distorted reality. It is not an accurate image of you. Our minds have their own power, and unless we harness it, they will play a trick on us. The intention is capable of blowing something out of proportion or making it seem invalid. You have at one time, or the other made wrong assumptions about something or someone, and in most cases, our minds head towards the negative and dreadful things. For instance, if someone is very nice to us, we might feel like they are after something else maybe they want to use us. These thoughts are normally a result of past experiences and fears. They can cause great distress and anxiety and sadness. Once we have been hurt in a situation, the mind takes that as the gospel truth and will predict the same outcome in a similar circumstance. This leads to the growth of patterns of negativity, which in turn affect the quality of your life. For example, if one lost a job after being unexpectedly summoned by a boss, he/she will always feel worried- a sense of dread when called in for an unplanned meeting. That fear will affect every meeting, even though the loss of the job was caused by only one event. The mind will create expectations based on just one bad experience. It can be very helpful to recognize our thoughts and how they affect our decisions and choices. What stirs your thoughts? Do you have past experiences that affect the way you perceive certain situations? How objective are you? In this book, you will learn more about: What is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and how it works How to recognize intrusive thoughts How to set the right goal for you Tackling anxiety, negativity, and stress for good How to identify negative thought patterns when they present themselves Identifying your need to heal Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in practice - thoughts records, exposure therapy and retraining your brain Setting goals Learn and master 8 Cognitive-behavioral therapy techniques Find out how to do effective mindfulness sessions AND MANY MORE!!!
