Nothing more than an overworked theme in literature and opera. To the contrary, Bob and Gretchen Passantino show how, in the midst of prevailing attitudes of skepticism and disbelief, Satanism has made unprecedented inroads into our society.

Book excerpt: For nearly five hundred years the Doctrine of Predestination as propounded by John Calvin has held sway over the western Christian church and its theology. Many of the major protestant denominations are predominantly Calvinistic. Is the Doctrine of Predestination Scriptural? Do the Five Points of Calvinism have sound Scriptural support? Author Jos Salins carefully examines the Five Points of Calvinism and exposes the errors in these doctrines and the fact that none of them are supported by Scripture as assumed by Calvinists. He brings a new understanding of Romans chapter 9 - the chapter which was fundamental to the formulation of the Doctrine of Predestination by John Calvin and before him his mentor, St. Augustine of Hippo. This book is compelling, thoroughly Scriptural and scholarly, yet written in a style that is readable and understandable by anyone, and does not necessarily require of the reader a theological background as a prerequisite. Its content will have a tremendous impact on the Calvinistic world and on Calvinism as a whole and will shake it to its very foundations, with far reaching implications. This is a must read for every thinking Christian.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Can we know that Satan exists as a particular, disembodied spirit? Current Catholic teaching insists that Satan exists as a person, a fallen angel who has instigated the Fall of humanity, continues to influence humans today, and constitutes a singular nemesis to God. How, one might ask, could human beings know such a thing with certainty? In response, this book seeks to rescue the mythical language in which the doctrine of Satan is rooted so that it is freed from the unreasonable expectation that it affirms the existence of a particular creature, and can instead express theological truth that is of relevance to all free-willed creatures. In doing so, it addresses thorny questions concerning the interpretation of Scripture, the relationship between God and evil, between doctrine and truth, between the Church and modernity, and between the condemnatory impulses apparent in Christian thought and the doctrine of an omnipresent God of infinite mercy. The book detects in the doctrine of Satan the expression of fundamental truths concerning the Creator-creature relationship—truths that are too easily obfuscated in current formulations that invite either fundamentalism or incredulity.

Book excerpt: Reformed theology is known for being logical, not illogical. One of the most common objections to Calvinism is that it insists on rigorous logical consistency. Calvinistic thinkers throughout history have correctly emphasized that logic is the way God thinks: "Come now, let us reason together, saith the Lord" (Isaiah 1:18). Biblical-Christianity is the perfect system of truth, logically consistent, and based on Scripture alone (Sola Scriptura). Those who contradict the Bible are wrong. Every lie is a contradiction of the truth. Satan is the father of lies, always contradicting the Scriptures (John 8:44). Satan's children teach that the Bible is filled with contradictions. Sometimes, in an attempt to be clever, they call these contradictions logical paradoxes, irreconcilable paradoxes, apparent contradictions that cannot and should not be harmonized, unsolvable antinomies, and unfathomable mysteries. One of Satan's greatest champions against the truth of Holy Scripture was Cornelius Van Til. The satanic teachings of Van Til compromised and disarmed entire Presbyterian denominations in the 20th century, spawning the heresies of Shepherdism and Federal Vision, while contributing to Neo-Legalism. Unlike Van Til, who passionately embraced irreconcilable paradox, this book agrees with John Calvin, who famously stated: "I abhor paradox." In opposition to this satanic irrationalism, every Bible-believing Christian must proclaim the following: God is logical, not insane. This book is a refutation of the satanic teachings of Cornelius Van Til.

Book excerpt: Satan is on a rampage; he has inundated our world with a multiplicity of dangerous lies and is convincing men to feast on them while rejecting Gods holy Word. However, even though Satans concocting these lies, man is not an innocent party to this deception; Satan may be spreading lies, but man entertains them of his own volition and perpetuates them. Man is electing to reject God and the doctrinal teachings of the Bible; he prefers to indulge teachings that ?agrantly contradict Scripture. Man is Satans accomplice; he is complicit and culpable because he disregards the Word of God and chooses lies over truth. Average people have no clue theyre being deceived by a clever and diabolical spirit. Satans deception and cleverness are so astute that hes convinced many to believe the lie that he doesnt exist. However, he does exist, and the purpose of this book is to expose him, his lies, and his deceptions and to expose, refute, and combat the numerous deadly lies so prevalent in our world today that many have embraced. Much in this book will be seen by many as controversial and politically incorrect, but this book is factual and biblically sound; it will equip you with knowledge and insights from the Word of God to prevent you from falling prey to Satans deceptions. God loves you, Jesus died for you, and it is my prayer that you carefully consider and investigate everything in this book and make the crucial decision to believe God and His Word versus Satan and his lies.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Let us examine in more detail the doctrine of the virgin and the immaculate conception. This dogma is one of the basic religions of Christianity and was established in 431 at the Third Ecumenical Council in Ephesus, that is, four centuries after the death of Jesus. The dogma is based on deliberately made inaccurate translations, replaced words and correspondingly free interpretations of the original texts of the prophets of Tanah (Old Testament). This is, perhaps, the most essential and extremely important example of a purposeful replacement of words that has led to erroneous translations and false interpretations of the long religious history of mankind. The dogma of virginity and immoral conception, as we have said, is one of the main dogmas on which Christianity is based. This dogma claims that a virgin gave birth to the Messiah Jesus Christ, through miraculous and blameless conception in which God Himself participated through the Holy Spirit, and thanks to the supernatural act appeared to the world and the Son of God. This so basic dogma in Christianity is written in the Matthew Gospel as follows: „The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” (which means “God with us”) – (Matthew 1:23). Thus the Christian religion “proves” one of its main dogmas, referring to a text in the Book of Isaiah (the prophet Yeshaiahu Ben Amotz) in which the prophet prophesied the immaculate conception of Jesus Christ: „Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.” (Isaiah 7:14). At first glance, there is no difference, but in fact only one word that is specifically altered changes the whole meaning not only of the text but also of the Christian dogma as a whole. The word that is written in the Christian New Testament is the Greek parthenos (virgin), while in the original Hebrew text of Isaiah the prophet in the Old Testament is the word alma (העלמה – young woman)! This word was written initially personally by the Prophet as an alma (a young woman), who apparently is neither a virgin. It is well-known that the dogma of immaculate conception holds a great deal of the ideology of Christian doctrine. Deprived of this dogma, the doctrine is deprived of God the Son, and therefore Jesus becomes an ordinary man.

Book excerpt: Many Christians live as though they are effectively alone in the world. However, there is another realm of intelligent life that plays a role in the world—angelic beings. This book explores the doctrine of angels and demons, answering key questions about their nature and the implications for Christians' beliefs and behavior, helping readers see their place in the larger biblical plotline that includes supernatural beings. An understanding of the reality of angels and demons encourages believers to be vigilant in the light of spiritual warfare and to be confident in Christ's victory on the cross.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Mention the word Satan or the Devil and many Christians visibly get a look of concern, intimidation and/or fright. Satan is a force to be reckoned with in today's world. Unfortunately, most churches teach their followers to be afraid of, run from, or remain quiet when the Devil issue is brought up. Has the Christian world been duped into a false understanding of who Satan and the Devil really are? Dr. Ron McRay after much research and study has determined that, yes that is the case. Satan has developed into a superhuman figure with God-like qualities. He can be anywhere at any time and has the power to control circumstances or even you. He is all knowing, all powerful and cannot be eliminated. However, the only true teaching of Satan comes from Scripture. He has never written a book or been seen by anyone. Does the Bible teach that Satan is a force that no one can overcome? What does the Bible actually say about the character and nature of Satan and his demons which most people believe can harm and even kill. This book is sure to shake the standard teachings of most Bible believing churches in America and around the world. The teachings about the Devil are based on a wrong view of scripture and rely heavily on the teachings traditionally passed down from generation to generation. Those teachings were largely based on cultural influence and teachings of false religions and are not in alignment with the teachings of the Bible. Dr. Ron McRay has once again broken through the false teachings of religion and examined the Scriptures to find the truth. This book is about to change every concept you have ever had about Satan, The Devil and The Adversary.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume presents the most wonderful and intensely interesting history that has ever been written of the great confilct between Christianity and the Powers of Darkness. The period of history covered is one of the deepest interest to all classes of readers. Beginning with our Lord's great prophecy given while viewing Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives, in which He outlines the history of the whole dispensation, it sketches the fulfillment. It calls our attention to the bitter persecutions of the Christians in the first centuries, and notes the rise and growth of the Papacy. Considerable space is given to the life, work, and infuence of later reformers and great religious leaders, and this is followed by chapters treating upon The Orgin of Evil, The Agency of Evil Spirits, The Snares of Satan, and the Judgment. The closing chapters give a vivid picture of the warfare of the church, her final redemption, and vividly describe the triumph of the people of God, the destruction of Satan and all his followers, and the renewing of the earth, which ends the awful controversy between the Son og God and the Powers of Darkness. - 1.
