But the half of the population of Bangladesh are under the age of 18 and are considered children. There are 20 million of them are under the age of 5 and about 73% of the child live in the village/ rural areas and 27% in urban areas. However, one-third of these children spend their life below the international poverty line. The violation of child rights is a common affair in Bangladesh. The children have basic rights to education, health and nutrition, a balanced diet, protection, safe water, participation, recreation, sanitation, and hygiene. Most of the children of Bangladesh are deprived of these basic rights. The government of Bangladesh with UNICEF has taken many steps to school for children and decrease child labor and abuses. Here an experiment has been discussed the aspect of a child's right to create a child-friendly environment in Bangladesh against any violation. In addition, I talk about child rights which need children, boys/girls, in Bangladesh. Secondly, the international instrument that rights and rules then how many various ways violate the Bangladeshi child rights. So, the upholds the present situation of the Bangladeshi child rights violation and fundaments rights. There are different statistics between 2001 to 2021 in Bangladesh after I said some the strong recommendations, on how to recover the child right violation in Bangladesh.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: From the Global to the Local develops a unique perspective on human rights governance in developing countries, where the state often lacks the required resources, capacities and expertise for implementing rights. Considering how rights that have been agreed upon in the global arena of world politics are locally implemented, this book then specifically explores how they reach the local children of Bangladesh’s urban slums and poor rural areas. Andrea Schapper combines an analytical framework grounded in international relations scholarship on global governance with empirical field research methods that have their basis in sociology and anthropology. Utilising this methodology, the book examines three principles that represent a global consensus on children’s rights (the protection of children from the worst forms of child labor, providing them with primary education, and delivering basic health care services to them) to illuminating the need for local and contextual solutions to transnational issues. Exploring such concerns with vigor, this book fills a gap in the study of human rights implementation and protection and will thus be of immense interest to students of Law, of International Relations and of Development Studies.

Human rights are greatly influenced, positively or negatively, by the business activities of transnational corporations, industries and business enterprises. Consequently, business and children’s rights are comparatively new and evolving agenda in international human rights law. Children’s rights both as right holders and stakeholders have been affected by business activities. This article focuses on two basic questions. Firstly: how business activities affect the rights of children, especially child labourer’s rights in the context of Bangladesh; and secondly: whether the laws and regulations of domestic and international law is sufficient to redress the violation of children’s rights. The article’s premise is to find what should be the role of different actors in connection to the rights of children affected by the activities of business. The article concentrates on the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human rights, the UNICEF Global Compact and Save the Children “Children’s rights and Business Principles known as CRB Principles” (May-2012) and the Committee on the Rights of the Child General Comment no.16 which deals with the obligations of states in relation to business and children’s rights, Convention on the Rights of the Child, ILO Convention on the Worst Form of Child labour and ILO

Violation of human rights such as, extrajudicial killings like crossfire and death in custody, abduction, child labor, violence of workers' rights, violence of woman rights, women and child trafficking, public lynching, death penalty and discriminations on religion minorities and indigenous people are alarming in Bangladesh.

Book excerpt: "It is established that as a ratified State of international human rights treaties the respective State should comply with its commitments and implement those rights giving effectiveness into domestic laws. Both the right to life and the right to liberty and security of persons are very important and significant in all leading international human rights instruments. The International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) is a major international human rights treaty which Bangladesh already ratified some years back. Although Bangladesh has ratified this convention, it does not meet international human rights standard, more particularly, the right to life and the right to liberty. There are many reasons for this ineffectiveness but the objective of this research is to prove that a lack of political will, and in particular, an unwillingness to take effective measures to ensure due compliance is one of the main reasons behind it. The dissertation has also been undertaken to find out what the effectiveness of the right to life and the right to liberty is under Articles 6 and 9 of the ICCPR in light of both Bangladesh and international law. Accordingly, it explains and analyzes legal provisions under the Bangladeshi laws, regional human rights conventions and international legal instruments for the protection and promotion of fundamental human rights particularly the right to life and the right to liberty for all citizens especially the human rights defenders. In this regard, the research also examines different judicial decisions from national jurisdiction, regional courts and international jurisdiction as well. It further investigates what the challenges are facing those who seek to ensure respect for human rights in Bangladesh and how they overcome it"--

Book excerpt: Child labour is a serious and contentious issue throughout the developing world and it continues to be a problem whose form and very meaning shifts with social, geographical, economic and cultural context. While the debate about child labour practice in developing countries appears to be motivated by growing competition in labour intensive products brought about by globalization, studies on this issue are both sparse and lopsided. This important book aims to shed light on this debate by documenting the experience of South Asian developing countries which have experienced rapid income and export growth. Based on evidence from Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka, this volume aims to improve our understanding about the link between trade, growth and child labour practices, as well as management of child labour in developing countries.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book deals with street children who live in the developing world, and homeless youth who are from the developed world. They are referred to as children in street situations (CSS) to show that the problem is both in the children and in the situation they face. The book examines several aspects of the children and their street situations, including the families of origin and the homes they leave, the children’s social life, and mental health. Other aspects are the problems of published demographics, the construction of public opinion about these children and the, often violent, reactions from authorities. The book then discusses current research on children in street situations, as well as programs and policies. The book ends with recommendations about programs, policies and research.
