Car, montrer que le continent noir est le berceau de l'humanité et que l'Egypte nègre est celle qui a inventé les sciences et les techniques, les mathématiques et la philosophie, l'écriture et la religion, c'est rétablir la vérité trop longtemps masquée par le " mythe du Nègre ". Pour Ch. A. Diop, Ie " miracle grec " à proprement parler n'existe pas. Tout Ie problème est là. L'égyptologue indigène est un hérétique du savoir institué. S'il rend à l'homme noir sa mémoire, il annonce la fin des certitudes et ouvre des voies nouvelles à la recherche sur l'Afrique, au-delà des apports de l'Africanisme. Pour gérer l'héritage de cet homme de science, il faut retrouver cette capacité de créer qu'il a voulu faire naître en chaque Africain. Les maîtres de vérité sont tentés d'occulter l'apport de Ch. A. Diop à l'histoire des sciences. C'est pourquoi Jean-Marc Ela invite les jeunes Africains à relire sans passion une oeuvre incontournable qui démeure un défi à l'intelligence de notre temps.
