At present rates, one out of every three Americans will be diagnosed with some form of cancer, often before the age of 65. And while 97 percent of cancer research funds are invested in early detection and more advanced treatments, only 3 percent is invested in identifying the root causes of this many-sided disease. Early detection relies on increasingly high-tech biopsies, MRI (magnetic resonance imaging), CT (computed tomography), and PET (positron emission tomography) scans. Treatments generally involve chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery. The cost of chemotherapy may be higher than$100,000 for cases involving prolonged treatment. Radiation and surgery can also cost $50,000 and more. Even non-chemotherapy cancer drugs, such as the FDA approved Sutent, can cost more than $8,000 per month. Aside from the costs, these standard treatments for cancer involve toxic chemicals and intense radiation that can damage healthy organs and cause a variety of damaging and debilitating side effects. On the other hand, new models of relatively ow-cost, early cancer detection and natural, non-toxic treatments have been around for decades. From his perspective of over 25 years of solid research on the toxicities which cause the human body to become a welcome host for cancer and other major diseases, Dr. Jacob Swilling has been sounding the alarm for many years. Diet, lifestyles, and environmental toxins are primarily responsible for cancer, heart disease, diabetes and other conditions which plague modern society.
