Download or read book Bulldog Faith written by Robert Moyer and published by . This book was released on 2019-07-28 with total page 116 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Bulldog Faith. I am sure that you heard the old saying (Take a firm stand on what you believe) before this I was thinking about faith and how those before us had strong faith to take a stand not only in the things of God but also what mattered in their own personal life. You will see how some who fell off the track got their lives back together, and got back on track. How others went on to become warriors and servants of the most High God. I can look into this book reflect back and see more of myself than anyone particular person or event. As an underachiever in my youth and early teens, and bored with school; I quit school at the age of 16 and joined the Marine Corps. This is where I began to learn about standing firm, take the fight to the enemy, be assured that preparation will give you the victory. I was motivated to finish school, received some collage credits. During my 20 yrs. In the Marine Corps. I served in many places, around the world. From being around the President to Viet Nam, to becoming a Drill Instructor, and preparing other young underachievers to become victorious. It was during this time that I had my greatest victory. The surrendering of my life to Jesus. He will prepare you for any battle and assure you of the victory. Reading the Bulldog faith series, you will see how God used him throughout his law enforcement career to touch the lives of hardened criminals. I personally admire a man like him who is not afraid to talk about the Lord, anywhere any time. He demonstrates how God uses willing vessels to touch others around them. Back in 1997 when my wife and myself first met Rev. Bob and Sharon Moyer, we fell in love with them right away. We were readily attracted to them because of their total devotion to serve God wherever they were needed. They lived in Barstow, California and we lived in EI Paso, Texas; but we quickly noticed that they were always willing to hop in their car and drive through the hot desert to attend the scheduled Board meetings and conferences of World Evangelism Inc. We have always known them to be faithful, available and trustworthy. Sharon is always ready to glorify God with her various gifts in prophetic dancing, singing, teaching and praying for women. She has been one of the favorite guest speakers to our Church Women of Victory Annual Convention. I pray that their book will not only impart knowledge into the lives of the readers but also serve as inspiration to help couples work harmoniously together in faith. Rev. Dr. Samuel Olumoko President; Passion For Christ International

Book Synopsis The God Argument by : A. C. Grayling
Download or read book The God Argument written by A. C. Grayling and published by A&C Black. This book was released on 2013-03-14 with total page 289 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There has been a bad-tempered quarrel between defenders and critics of religion in recent years. Both sides have expressed themselves acerbically because there is a very great deal at stake in the debate. This book thoroughly and calmly examines all the arguments and associated considerations offered in support of religious belief, and does so in full consciousness of the reasons people have for subscribing to religion, and the needs they seek to satisfy by doing so. And because it takes account of all the issues, its solutions carry great weight. The God Argument is the definitive examination of the issue, and a statement of the humanist outlook that recommends itself as the ethics of the genuinely reflective person.

Book Synopsis Reason, Faith, and Revolution by : Terry Eagleton
Download or read book Reason, Faith, and Revolution written by Terry Eagleton and published by Yale University Press. This book was released on 2009-04-21 with total page 200 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: On the one hand, Eagleton demolishes what he calls the "superstitious" view of God held by most atheists and agnostics and offers in its place a revolutionary account of the Christian Gospel. On the other hand, he launches a stinging assault on the betrayal of this revolution by institutional Christianity. There is little joy here, then, either for the anti-God brigade -- Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens in particular -- nor for many conventional believers. --Résumé de l'éditeur.

Book Synopsis Singing to a Bulldog by : Anson Williams
Download or read book Singing to a Bulldog written by Anson Williams and published by Reader's Digest. This book was released on 2014-11-11 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Singing to a Bulldog presents the practical and motivational lessons Anson Williams, an accomplished actor, director, singer and producer gleaned from his life experience and words of wisdom from the head janitor at one of his first jobs. Growing up in 1950s California, young Anson William Heimlich showed very little promise. Clumsy, unsure of himself, and made to feel like a failure by his disappointed artist of a dad, Anson started working odd jobs as a teenager to help support his family. His boss at one of these jobs, an aging African-American janitor named Willie, unexpectedly became a mentor—and the lessons he taught young Anson proved to be invaluable throughout his subsequent career as an actor, director, and entrepreneur. In Singing to a Bulldog, Anson Williams (as he came to be known) relates both these lessons and the never-before-revealed stories of the many seminal TV series he has worked on and the famous (and not-so-famous) folks he’s encountered during his 40 years in Hollywood, including: • being directed by Steven Spielberg in his first dramatic role • getting kidnapped by Gerald Ford’s daughter at the White House • subbing for Sammy Davis, Jr., as a headliner with Bill Cosby • being humbled by Sunny, a young volunteer for the Cerebral Palsy National Organization • mentoring Shailene Woodley on the set of The Secret Life of the American Teenager and many more. This compelling read has a cross-generational and broad appeal, combining all the fun of a celebrity memoir with the emotional impact of an inspirational bestseller. With Singing to a Bulldog, Anson Williams brings his gift of storytelling to a new medium in a book that is sure to touch readers’ hearts and lives as profoundly as Willie once touched his.
