Many people cannot let go of the fear fueling the Mass Delusional Psychosis which has plagued millions since early 2020. In his latest book, Freedom from Fear, Dr. Mark McDonald applies his well-honed psychiatric acuity to the undiagnosed epidemic of fear addiction. Just like a drug, fear becomes an unhealthy mental and emotional dependency that must be broken. In Freedom from Fear, Dr. McDonald presents the essential twelve-step guide to personal and worldwide recovery. His precepts include simple but practical steps like “Face the Mirror,” “Don’t be a Sheep,” “Choose Reality,” “Reject Narcissism,” “Think for Yourself,” “Embrace Adulthood,” “Pay Attention,” and “Embrace Fearless Leadership.” Bold and straightforward, Dr. McDonald once again draws on his experience as a psychiatrist and physician to diagnose this worldwide affliction. In this companion book to United States of Fear, he prescribes the consummate treatment plan for eradicating this Mass Delusional Psychosis once and for all.

Book Synopsis The Struggle for Freedom from Fear by : Alison Brysk
Download or read book The Struggle for Freedom from Fear written by Alison Brysk and published by Oxford University Press. This book was released on 2018-08-01 with total page 336 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: How can we understand and contest the global wave of violence against women? In this book, Alison Brysk shows that gender violence across countries tends to change as countries develop and liberalize, but not in the ways that we might predict. She shows how liberalizing authoritarian countries and transitional democracies may experience more shifting patterns and greater levels of violence than less developed and democratic countries, due to changes and uncertainties in economic and political structures. Accordingly, Brysk analyzes the experience of semi-liberal, developing countries at the frontiers of globalization--Brazil, India, South Africa, Mexico, the Philippines, and Turkey--to map out patterns of gender violence and what can be done to change those patterns. As the book shows, gender violence is not static, nor can it be attributed to culture or individual pathology--rather it varies across a continuum that tracks economic, political, and social change. While a combination of international action, law, public policy, civil society mobilization, and changes in social values work to decrease gender violence, Brysk assesses the potential, limits, and balance of these measures. Brysk shows that a human rights approach is necessary but not sufficient to address gender violence, and that insights from feminist and development approaches are essential.
Book Synopsis Between Fear and Freedom by : Kathleen Starck
Download or read book Between Fear and Freedom written by Kathleen Starck and published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing. This book was released on 2010-02-19 with total page 230 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The field of Cold War studies has recently undergone a cultural turn. Scholars from many disciplines outside – but increasingly also from within – diplomatic history have come to understand that, just as the Cold War was marked by a political and military competition, it was also characterised by a cultural one. As a result, it is now widely accepted that everyday culture was itself infused with political and ideological messages. The Cold War was ubiquitous. In an attempt to comprehend this complexity of the superpower conflict, as well as the way it affected and still affects people’s lives globally, this collection of essays brings together the work of scholars from nine countries and a wide range of academic disciplines. They explore strategies, mechanisms and legacies of the Cold War in areas as diverse as film, propaganda, conspiracy theories, education, music, comic books, architecture, fiction, autobiographical writing and theatre.

Book excerpt: This collection contains twenty-seven new essays on American paranoia drawn from a range of disciplines, including American studies, film studies, history, literature, religious studies, and sociology. It's arranged by topic and largely in chronological order, explore manifestations of fear throughout the history of the United States. Approaching the topic from a variety of perspectives and methodologies, contributors to the collection explore theoretical constructions of fear, religious intolerance in early American culture, racial discrimination, literary expressions of paranoia, and Cold War anxieties, as well as phobias of the modern age and about the future. Together, these essays cover topics from nearly every period of U.S. history, offering a remarkable picture of the nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror that Roosevelt discerned as such a paralyzing threat on the eve of the Second World War, and which continues to haunt American culture even as we shape our perceptions of the future.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Fear was not part of God's original agenda for his creation. It slithered onto the scene when Adam and Eve sinned, causing a tear in their relationship with God. And even though fear touches every life and can still debilitate people today, the news isn't all bad. Popular speaker and author Grace Fox demonstrates how believers can face their fear and actually let it be a catalyst for change. Readers will learn how to stop hiding from God and instead develop a deeper relationship with Him. This is what she calls "the upside of fear": When we cry out to God for help, He answers, and we experience Him in new ways. Each chapter highlights a particular area where readers can begin to experience freedom from fears about their personal identity, their finances, their kids, the future, and more.

Book Synopsis Freedom from Your Fears by : Napoleon Hill
Download or read book Freedom from Your Fears written by Napoleon Hill and published by Sound Wisdom. This book was released on 2021-04-20 with total page 100 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Don’t let fear hold you back from the personal and professional success you were meant to enjoy. It’s time to master your fears and increase your resilience so that you can regain control of your life and achieve your vision of success. Fear is one of the greatest obstacles to your success, happiness, and fulfillment, and it is one of the most difficult to combat. It roots itself deep in the subconscious and darkens your dominating thoughts, coloring your perceptions and, in turn, your actions. But fear does not have to write your story. It is simply an emotion—one that can be mastered and channeled to work for, rather than against, you. This guidebook contains Napoleon Hill’s best advice for throwing off the chains of fear, finding opportunity within temporary defeat, and living life with intention. You’ll learn how to: Develop the self-confidence, faith, and willpower you need to overcome even the most challenging obstacle; Reduce your vulnerability to the negative influences of others; Conquer the seven basic fears by forming new mental habits; Filter the noise around you and de-escalate the panic of Fearenza and Worryitis; Harness the power of Cosmic Habitforce to accelerate your success; and, Implement the mastermind principle to identify new opportunities for Collaboration and innovation. “The only thing we have to fear is fear itself!” This famous line from Franklin D. Roosevelt’s inaugural address is etched into the public consciousness, but few people know that its inspiration derived from one of his advisors, Napoleon Hill. Commissioned by the great steel magnate Andrew Carnegie to build a philosophy of individual achievement, Hill spent 25 years conducting research on more than 500 distinguished individuals to uncover a magic law of the human mind that guaranteed personal and professional success. The achievement principles he discovered enabled a generation to break the bonds of fear responsible for exacerbating the ills of the Great Depression and world war and raise themselves to new levels of success—and they continue to do so today. If there was ever a time in this country when men and women need to recognize the power of their own minds, when they need to overcome frustration and fear, that time is now. There is too much fear spread around, too many people talking about depressions. …Let’s get our minds, each and every one of us as individuals, fixed upon a definite goal so big and so outstanding that we’ll have no time to think about these things we don’t want.—Napoleon Hill
