Download or read book If I Die Before I Wake written by June Sharman and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2003-11 with total page 168 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: If I Die Before I Wake... is a journal filled with moving essays and quotations to inspire the reader to life with no regrets. As Personal Coaches, June Sharman and Traci Vujicich have found that too many people get to the end of their lives to find that they didn't do what they wanted to do. Rather, they spent their lives focused on the "shoulds" and the "can'ts". Your life doesn't need to be that way. If I Die Before I Wake... is a journal filled with essays on specific topics that people often neglect. By reading them, and then writing down your ideas, plans, and goals, you can prevent yourself from saying "If only I had..." Readers say: "...a profoundly powerful book. It needed to be written, and it needs to be read by everyone. Often poignant, often hilarious, this thoughtful work is truly a 'must-read'."

Book excerpt: Wake had lived in fear for far too long. Life hadn’t been easy for him. Every day he resisted his natural instincts to claim the one female meant for him. An event from his past stopped him in his tracks every time his primal urges pushed him toward her. Paige accepted the role she played in Wake’s life. She was the one he wanted but never allowed himself to have. But when someone else showed interest in her, Wake had to decide once and for all. Putting his heart on the line left the shifter vulnerable, something he never wanted to be again. And just when he gave in to his instincts, fate dealt the pair a cruel hand. Nightmares came true, causing Paige to flee to the only place she felt safe—in the arms of Wake. Pack life wasn’t an easy life, but Paige wouldn’t give up the man who held her heart. Only together could the two move forward and find the happiness they both deserved.
Download or read book George A. Romero written by Tony Williams and published by Univ. Press of Mississippi. This book was released on 2011-07-07 with total page 224 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: George A. Romero (b. 1940) has achieved a surprising longevity as director since his first film, Night of the Living Dead (1968). After recently relocating to Canada, he shows no signs of slowing up: his recent film, Survival of the Dead (2009), is discussed in a new interview conducted by Tony Williams for this volume, and still other films are awaiting release. Although commonly known as a director of zombie films, a genre he himself launched, Romero's films often transcend easy labels. His films are best understood as allegorical commentaries on American life that just happen to appropriate horror as a convenient vehicle. Romero's films encompass works as different as The Crazies, Hungry Wives, Knightriders, and Bruiser. The interviews in this collection cover a period of over forty years. In whatever format they originally appeared-the printed page, the internet, or the video interview-these discussions illustrate both the evolution of Romero's chosen forms of technology and the development of his thinking about the relationship between cinema and society. They present Romero as an independent director in every sense of the word.

Book Synopsis Wake Up—God’s Talking to You by : Manny Dean Fernandez
Download or read book Wake Up—God’s Talking to You written by Manny Dean Fernandez and published by WestBow Press. This book was released on 2014-05-08 with total page 152 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: From the beginning of time, God has spoken to people in their dreams. Through them he has reached out to both men of God—Isaiah, Daniel, Jeremiah, Jacob, and his dream interpreter son, Joseph—and ungodly men and women, like Pharaoh or Pontius Pilate’s wife. Even today, God has not stopped speaking to us in our dreams. We simply stopped listening or being aware of Him. More than twenty years ago, after God woke him up one night with an incredible dream, author Manny Fernandez set off on a lifelong journey to explore what could be learned from dreams. He made it his mission to teach others how to remember their dreams and, with God’s help, interpret their meaning. In his guidebook, Fernandez includes his own diary of dreams, associated Scriptures and explanations, ways to remember and understand God’s special messages, an examination of parables, and his ideas for connecting with God through dreams and prayer. Wake Up—God’s Talking to You is an innovative teaching tool that guides spiritual seekers through all the ways God speaks to us through dreams and brings us closer to Him.

Book Synopsis Legendary Locals of Wake Forest by : Durward Matheny
Download or read book Legendary Locals of Wake Forest written by Durward Matheny and published by Arcadia Publishing. This book was released on 2015-02-09 with total page 128 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: For much of its history, Wake Forest was an idyllic college town. Trains chugged past White Street, the depot hummed with activity, and citizens could shop for groceries, see a movie, and cheer the Demon Deacons without ever getting behind the wheel of a car. It was a town of visionaries. Samuel Wait, William Louis Poteat, Sophie Stephens Lanneau, and Peahead Walker made history in the fields of academics, religion, and athletics; when famous 20th-century writer and satirist H.L. Mencken reportedly called North Carolina “the most intelligent” of all Southern states, he was referring to Wake Forest. That tradition continues today. The Allen family publishes one of the region’s most honored weekly newspapers; Andy Ammons recreated small-town magic in the community known as Heritage Wake Forest; and Steve Tarangelo followed his dream to prove that “food is love.”

Book Synopsis Wake up Black Man and Black Woman by : Alpha Omega Riddick
Download or read book Wake up Black Man and Black Woman written by Alpha Omega Riddick and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2010-07-08 with total page 164 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Black people of America, we need to stop reading books about thug life and street life. We need to read books that will open our minds to ideas and issues that will help us and our families and the future of black generations of this country. Black people of America, we were here before most of the other nationalities that are here now. We should be in a much better financial situation than we are in now. Most of us are at the bottom or near the bottom of the economic scale as a whole. We have to learn from the foreigners that stick together and open up businesses in our community. Plus we have to stop giving our hard-earned money to other nationalities and none to ourselves; in a way, we are still slaves. I wrote this book to inspire Black Americans to open there eyes to the positive changes we need to make to help our families and future black generations in America. This book shows how we are living compared to other nationalities in America, as well as the factors that are holding us back as a whole. We must remember our ancestors and the sacrifices they made when they were slaves. They were the strongest people in the world, and we are their descendants. I feel they were superhuman beings to make that trip from Africa to America. We as black Americans have that same ability in us to survive. Remember, we are the alpha race. We need to wake up and stop hitting the snooze button. May God bless this book and everyone that reads it.
