Book Synopsis Bees and the Ancient Mysteries by : Iwer Thor Lorenzen
Download or read book Bees and the Ancient Mysteries written by Iwer Thor Lorenzen and published by Temple Lodge Publishing. This book was released on 2018-08-06 with total page 78 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In an extraordinary exposition, Lorenzen – an expert beekeeper and student of contemporary spiritual science – describes the ‘Logos mysteries’, based at the ancient temple of Artemis in Ephesus, where priestesses were known as ‘Melissas’ (‘honeybees’) and the sacrificial priests were called ‘Essenes’ (or ‘bee-kings’). These cultic mysteries, he says, bore remarkable parallels to the workings of a bee colony – specifically in the relationship between the queen and worker bees to the spiritual ‘group-soul’ of the bees. Lorenzen commences his unique study with a discussion of flowers and insects, exploring their common origins. He then describes the beginnings of the honeybee, its connection with the fig wasp, and the subsequent controlled transformation of the latter that took place in pre-historic mystery-centres. Breeding the honeybee from the fig wasp – a sacred deed performed at consecrated sanctuaries – was part of the ‘Fig-tree mysteries’. The initiates behind this task developed the ability to commune with the bees’ group-soul and to work consciously on the mutual development of the hive and humanity. This concise but rich work features an illuminating foreword by Heidi Herrmann of the Natural Beekeeping Trust as well as a lucid introduction by translator Paul King that explains the anthroposophical concepts employed by Lorenzen in his text.

Download or read book Ancient Mysteries written by Peter James and published by Ballantine Books. This book was released on 2007-12-18 with total page 673 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What was the Minotaur? Did a Welsh prince discover America? Did Robin Hood really exist? How does the Star of Bethlehem fit into the science of astronomy? Is the Vinland Map a fake? Can archaeologists use spirit messages to guide their work? For centuries, philosophers, scientists, and charlatans have attempted to decipher the baffling mysteries of our past, from the Stonehenge to the lost continent of Atlantis. Today, however, DNA testing, radiocarbon dating, and other cutting-edge investigative tools, together with a healthy dose of common sense, are guiding us closer to the truth. Peter James and Nick Thorpe, the professional historian and archaeologist team who created the acclaimed Ancient Inventions, now tackle these age-old conundrums, presenting the latest information from the scientific community--and the most startling challenges to traditional explanations of mysteries such as: - The rise and fall of the Maya - A lost cache of Dead Sea Scrolls - The curse of Tutankhamun - The devastation of Sodom and Gomorrah - The Nazca Lines These true mystery stories twist and turn like a good whodunit, as James and Thorpe present the evidence for and against the expert theories, shedding new light on humankind's age-old struggle to make sense of the past. The authors also make dramatic contributions of their own to the fray, demonstrating persuasively that cataustrophic events--including the collisions of comets with the Earth long ago--could explain puzzles that have baffled experts for centuries. Ancient Mysteries will entertain and enlighten, delight the curious and inform the serious.
Book Synopsis Hidden Mysteries of the Honeybee by : Deborah Lynne Flanegan
Download or read book Hidden Mysteries of the Honeybee written by Deborah Lynne Flanegan and published by Xulon Press. This book was released on 2009-03 with total page 110 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What's all the buzz about? Bees! These little black and yellow balls of buzz are everywhere, in the movies, on billboards, TV commercials and even in the world news. What are the hidden mysteries? All scholars recognize that God uses types and shadows to hide His mysteries. Example: Joseph's life is a great foreshadow of Christ. Joseph was a firstborn son, miracle birth, beloved son, shepherd, sold for silver, falsely accused etc. God told us to "consider the ant, the sparrow, lilies of the field etc," I wonder what else we have missed out on because we haven't taken the time to explore His writings to us. A truly amazing never before revealed foreshadow using the humble honeybee. Do you know which one you are? Queen Bee - Her Supreme Majesty, Ruler Over Local Hive # 7 Worker Bee - "Girl, they sure have named you right! Workaholic or what! Can you say, 'slave!'" or Drone - The Slow Moving Dirigible. Alias: Buzzy Blimp or Hurly Burly Bee! Deborah Lynne Flanegan is a first time author with 30+ years of biblical and Hebraic study and research. She has been encouraging, teaching and exhorting the church body since the 1980's. She created "A Time of Refreshing Ministries" which coordinates, implements and facilitates day and overnight women retreats, as well as monthly theme parties designed to help with the bonding and spiritual equipping of women. Deborah and her husband Ken have been married for 41 years and they have two grown sons.
