Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The A-904 and A-727, debuting in 1960 and 1962, respectively, are 3-speed automatic Chrysler TorqueFlite Transmissions. In Mopar circles, they have become synonymous with strength, durability, and performance. In fact, 43 years after its first application, A-904s were still found in the Jeep lineup! TorqueFlites are known for their dependability, but many have endured a tremendous amount of abuse over 50-plus years when hooked up to V-8 Mopar powerplants. There is little doubt that some of these automatics could be prone to failure, or at least need a thorough rebuild. Tom Hand shares his decades of experience rebuilding TorqueFlite transmissions with chapters dedicated to troubleshooting, disassembly and reassembly, performance modifications, post-installation procedures, and the most thorough source guide offered in print, ever. The author walks you through the TorqueFlite rebuild with color photos showcasing step-by-step procedures with highly detailed, easy-to-follow text. This book will keep money in your pocket and add experience to your résumé, but more important, it will help you get your Mopar back on the road! p.p1 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Arial}
Book Synopsis Yield Point Phenomena in Metals and Alloys by : E. Hall
Download or read book Yield Point Phenomena in Metals and Alloys written by E. Hall and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 312 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Exceptions to the rule are always interesting, and the anomalies in the stress-strain curves of mild steel and in many other metals and alloys have excited the curiosity of engineers and scientists for well over a hundred years. Yet it is only during the last twenty years that significant theoretical advances have been made, and the aim of this book has been to examine these theories against the background of the considerable volume of experimental results published over the last few years, up to mid-1969. Hence this review volume has a two-fold aim; the first chapter attempts to review the general theories of yield point phenomena, using sufficient examples only to illustrate the theories. This chapter is intended to be complete in itself, and could be read by under graduates who wish to appraise rapidly the general background to the problem. The remaining chapters deal, in turn, with the various alloys exhibiting yield point phenomena. Thus, chapter 2 on mild steel, is a more extensive study of quench and strain ageing, while Chapter 3 is on the refractory metals and discusses theories of the low-temperature strength. The next concerns hydrogen in meta-Is. Chapters 5 and 6 discuss the face-centred cubic alloys, particularly the cases of the unloading yield point and intermetallic compounds. Chapter 7 covers hexagonal and ionic structures. A brief final chapter considers the areas where further research may be fruitful.

Book Synopsis Business Analytics: Progress On Applications In Asia Pacific by : Jorge L C Sanz
Download or read book Business Analytics: Progress On Applications In Asia Pacific written by Jorge L C Sanz and published by World Scientific. This book was released on 2016-09-29 with total page 882 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Technological advances in the last five years have allowed organizations to use Business Analytics to provide insights, increase understanding and it is hoped, gain the elusive 'competitive edge'. The rapid development of Business Analytics is impacting all enterprise competences profoundly and classical business professions are being redefined by a much deeper interplay between business and information systems.As computing capabilities for analysis has moved outside the IT glass-house and into the sphere of individual workers, they are no longer the exclusive domain of IT professionals but rather accessible to all employees. Complex open-source data analytics packages and client-level visualization tools deployed in desktops and laptops equip virtually any end-user with the instruments to carry out significant analytical tasks. All the while, the drive to improve 'customer experience' has heightened the demand for data involving customers, providers and entire ecosystems.In response to the proliferation of Business Analytics, a new Center and Masters of Science Program was introduced at the National University of Singapore (NUS). The Center collaborates with over 40 different external partner organizations in Asia-Pacific with which all MSBA students undertake individual projects. Business Analytics: Progress on Applications in Asia Pacific provides a useful picture of the maturity of the Business Analytics domain in Asia Pacific. Book Synopsis Amorphous Metallic Alloys by : BURTON
Download or read book Amorphous Metallic Alloys written by BURTON and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 2013-10-22 with total page 549 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Amorphous Metallic Alloys covers the preparation and properties of alloys produced by rapid quenching from the molten state. This book focuses on three technologically important classes of magnetic amorphous alloy—transition metal-metalloid (TM-M) alloys, rare earth-transition metal (RE-TM) alloys, and transition metal-zirconium or hafnium alloys (TM-Zr-Hf). The melt-quenched transition metal-metalloid and transition metal-zirconium type alloys are also emphasized. This text likewise explains in detail how amorphous atomic structure affects magnetic, mechanical, chemical, corrosion, and electrical characteristics. Other topics include glass forming ability in metallic materials, scattering theory of amorphous metals, dynamics of inhomogeneous plastic flow, and powder production processes. This publication is intended for students and researchers conducting work on amorphous metallic alloys.

Book Synopsis The Routledge Companion to Cyberpunk Culture by : Anna McFarlane
Download or read book The Routledge Companion to Cyberpunk Culture written by Anna McFarlane and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2019-11-28 with total page 694 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this companion, an international range of contributors examine the cultural formation of cyberpunk from micro-level analyses of example texts to macro-level debates of movements, providing readers with snapshots of cyberpunk culture and also cyberpunk as culture. With technology seamlessly integrated into our lives and our selves, and social systems veering towards globalization and corporatization, cyberpunk has become a ubiquitous cultural formation that dominates our twenty-first century techno-digital landscapes. The Routledge Companion to Cyberpunk Culture traces cyberpunk through its historical developments as a literary science fiction form to its spread into other media such as comics, film, television, and video games. Moreover, seeing cyberpunk as a general cultural practice, the Companion provides insights into photography, music, fashion, and activism. Cyberpunk, as the chapters presented here argue, is integrated with other critical theoretical tenets of our times, such as posthumanism, the Anthropocene, animality, and empire. And lastly, cyberpunk is a vehicle that lends itself to the rise of new futurisms, occupying a variety of positions in our regionally diverse reality and thus linking, as much as differentiating, our perspectives on a globalized technoscientific world. With original entries that engage cyberpunk’s diverse ‘angles’ and its proliferation in our life worlds, this critical reference will be of significant interest to humanities students and scholars of media, cultural studies, literature, and beyond.
