Zu Beginn wird die zunehmende Bedeutung eines strategischen CREM fur den Unternehmenserfolg dargelegt und auf die Bedeutung des Controllings als fuhrungs-unterstutzende Funktion und auf die Schwachen herkommlicher Kennzahlensysteme eingegangen. Anschliessend wird das Konzept der BSC vorgestellt und kritisch diskutiert. Gang der Untersuchung: Ausgehend von den Entwicklungsstufen des strategischen Immobilienmanagements und dem aktuellen Stand des Immobiliencontrollings wird begrundet, weshalb die BSC ein sehr interessantes Instrument fur den Einsatz im CREM sein kann. Die Bedeutung einer aus den Unternehmenszielen abgeleiteten CREM- Strategie und die Bedeutung der organisatorischen Verankerung des CREM werden in diesem Zusammenhang ebenfalls behandelt. Auf Grundlage eines allgemeinen strategischen Zielsystems im CREM wird dann an einem theoretischen Beispiel gezeigt, wie eine BSC im CREM gestaltet werden konnte. Dazu erfolgt eine Auswahl von Perspektiven und strategischen Zielen, die Beschreibung und Diskussion der Kennzahlenentwicklung sowie die Ableitung von konkreten Massnahmen zur Umsetzung der Ziele.
