These psycho-social pressures would directly and indirectly dictate every sex member of the society to act accordingly. At present, many countries are taking some affirmative action to promote women in different leadership positions. However, women are underrepresented subjects in administration and managerial jobs. Thus, this study is aimed to investigate the existing sex-role stereotypical attitude of employees towards women as leaders and identifying the factors which influence employees' attitude. Attitude towards women as leaders were measured on a 5-level Likert scale. Statistical methods such as t-test, Factorial ANOVA, Multiple Regression, and Logistic Regression were applied. The overall means score of respondents towards women as leaders was significant as compared to the neutral score. I have the confidence that the book can be used as reference materials for Researchers, Feminists, Policy makers, Statisticians, Managers, and University Students.

The second hypothesis stated that age and attitudes towards women managers would be positively correlated. The third hypothesis stated that work experience would act as a moderating variable. Hypothesis 1 was supported. No support was found for hypotheses 2 and 3.

Book excerpt: Purpose: The current paper deals with the attitudes towards women as managers, and the leadership style that women managers adopt. By replicating a study that was conducted in 1990, we intend to explore how things have changed during the last 15 years, in terms of attitudes towards women in management, as well as in terms of the leadership style that each gender tends to apply at work. Design/Methodology: A longitudinal survey, first run in 1990 and repeated in 2006, with a similar to the original sample of 229 Greek middle managers. Three very popular research scales were used to study the phenomenon: the Women as Managers Scale (WAMS), the Satisfaction with the Supervisor and the Likert 4 types of Leadership styles. Findings: The 2006 initial findings indicate greater presence of women in managerial positions, and relatively stable attitudes towards women as managers. Satisfaction with supervisor does not appear to be significantly correlated with the managers' gender, while, at the same time, no significant difference appears to exist between the leadership styles that male and female managers adopt. Originality/Value: This research is unique in drawing on cross-time, large pool of data, to support the existence of persisting effects in the attitudes towards women as managers, as well as the effect of gender on the satisfaction with supervisor.

Attempts have been made to compare women and men managers in terms of personal characteristics, style of influence and performances to determine whether women managers are described based on lack of competence or are gender stereotyped. The results portray that there is no significant difference in the managerial behavior of men and women except where subordinates expected them to exhibit specific behaviors. The study therefore suggests that activities in educational institutions and organizations should be favorable enough to motivate women to enter managerial positions.
