Maintaining sexual health depends on access to comprehensive sexual health information, sexual health services, knowledge of the associated risks, and an environment that supports sexual health. Sexual health is a public health concern in the United States. Research has found that comprehensive sexual health education, and use of sexual health services have a positive impact on sexual behavior. Planned Parenthood is one organization that works to better public health by offering sexual health services and comprehensive sexual health education. However, little is known about the population that is accessing health services at Planned Parenthood. Methods. This study utilized quantitative research methods. A cross sectional, online survey was used to examine demographics, perceived community concerns regarding sexual health, perceived sexual health needs of the community, existing community resources to address sexual health needs, the perception of Planned Parenthood and the history of utilizing Planned Parenthood services. Results. This study found a significant relationship between gender identity and the use of abortion services and condom pick up. There was no significant relationship between frequency of visits and demographic or geographic characteristics. Conclusion. These findings can be used to better understand the relationship between socio-demographics and geographic location on the use of sexual healthcare services.
