Repairs are under way at Rebecca Anderson’s gourmet popcorn shop. With production of her tasty treats on hold, Rebecca has plenty of time to read the old diary she discovered hidden in the shop’s walls. It’s a fun peek into her town’s history…until the diary’s abrupt ending leaves Rebecca wondering whether she’s actually stumbled upon a cold case. Unfortunately for Rebecca, mysteries are popping up right and left. When local busybody Lloyd McLaughlin is found dead, the police suspect he was poisoned by Rebecca’s popcorn. But Rebecca has only made one batch of popcorn recently, and it wasn’t intended for Lloyd. Nothing about Lloyd’s death makes sense—until Rebecca discovers a startling connection between the missing diary-writer and the murdered man. Now, with her reputation on the line, Rebecca must discover who’s been cooking up murder—both in the past and in the present.

This book was released on 2006 with total page 1032 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Reprint of the only edition of an uncommon dictionary. One of several English dictionaries published in the early nineteenth century, Williams' dictionary is notable for its physical size and broad scope. Williams noted that his aim was to include more words and shorter definitions by omitting the extraneous detail that distinguished the work of his predecessors (and, presumably, his competitors). Williams [1763-1833] was a barrister of the Inner Temple and was called to the bar, but he didn't have success as a pleader. He was known instead for his writings. In addition to his dictionary, he wrote manuals justices of the peace, compiled abridgments and digests and edited an edition of William Sheppard's The Precedent of Precedents.

Book excerpt: Until now, Misty Muldoon's favourite view of Newfoundland was always the one in her rear-view mirror. So when she has to leave the city and move to the outport of Charlie’s Cove, NL, with her two daughters, a mountain of debt, and the ink freshly dried on her divorce papers, it’s hardly her idea of a happy homecoming. With the help of the kind, meddling and downright eccentric locals, she sets out to rebuild her life in the ramshackle house left to her by her great uncle. When she starts writing a column for the local paper about transitioning back to life on The Rock while looking for a new man, little does she know her search for love will soon go viral when it’s picked up by a reality TV show—Charlie’s Cove and Misty Muldoon will never be the same again. Hilarious, endearing and inspirational, Misty’s Misadventures is a tale of romance, misfortune and the enduring spirit of a woman who won’t give up. It will make you laugh out loud while putting small-town Newfoundland on your bucket list forever.
