Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: It is the seat of judgment. The pinnacle of holiness. It is the Ark of the Covenant... and it’s the most dangerous weapon in existence. A group of fanatics wearing masks of Egypt’s gods slaughter the curator of Cairo’s most famous museum. A cleaner in Washington, DC, discovers a decapitated head on top of a replica of the Ark of the Covenant. And someone is sharing videos of the deaths with extremists all over the world. It’s a job too big — and too strange — for the normal authorities, but it’s right up the alley of ARKANE, the British agency tasked with investigating mysteries on the edge of the supernatural. Normally ARKANE would send its best agents: Morgan Sierra, ex-Israeli military and professor of psychology and religion; and Jake Timber, a man as mysterious as he is dangerous. But Jake is in a coma, nearly killed on a previous mission — so Morgan will have to go it alone. Because the death toll is rising, and there’s no time to wait. In over her head, in constant danger. Pursued by vicious mercenaries bent on revenge, hunted by assassins willing to do anything for their cause. But Morgan can’t stop, because the Ark of the Covenant is the prize, and it may be more than a simple religious artifact. It may be the secret to ancient alchemy, and the unlocking of a scientific breakthrough that could save the world... or end it. A mix of Raiders of the Lost Ark, James Bond, and The Da Vinci Code, Ark of Blood is a mesmerizing adventure by New York Times and USA Today bestselling author J.F. Penn. Grab your copy today, and get lost in the world of ARKANE!

Book excerpt: A recent Word of Knowledge message given in a dream-vision led him to the answer of a question that J.L. had been pondering concerning Jesus' blood that flowed from him when the Roman soldier pierced his side. The question was, "Why would God the Father let Jesus' holy and incorruptible blood flow to the ground and dry up there?" The Father answered the question when J.L.'s research led to the discovery of a hidden mystery unknown to the Christian Church until discovered in 1982 by biblical archeologist and apostle Ron Wyatt. Wyatt discovered that the blood released by a Roman soldier's spear that pierced Jesus' side flowed through a fissure in the earth and became sprinkled upon the Mercy Seat of the hidden Ark of the Covenant secreted in a cave 40 feet below the cross hole where Jesus was crucified.

Book excerpt: The Blood of Lambs is a biblical historical fictional novel about the life of Saint Stephen, the first martyr as written about in the Acts of the Apostles pages 6&7. Stephen was a rich mans dissolute son from Alexandria with the face of an angel. Accompanied by his two brothers Benjamin and Nabal, they set sail for Israel where they meet Acacius ben Xanthine an agnostic soldier of fortune. They defend themselves from an attack by brigands led by Antigonis the One Eyed and Adder the mysterious deadly little killer who is the secret leader of the Sicariia deadly band of Zealot cutthroats, who plays both ends against the middle. Antigonis as an Avenger of the Blood creates an enmity between the two groups that threads its way throughout the entire story. Acacius stumbles upon a plot led by Simon Magus the Magician to conquer the world. He works with the leader of the Roman Legion Italica II, the Tribune Julian Lombard to uncover the plot. Myra the Madam is the only person to ever escape from the secret cave of Antigonis and she is dedicated to avenge her friends murders by Adder and Antigonis. The setting for the story is Israel at the time of Christs Passion. Stephen meets and is infatuated by Jeshua and becomes a disciple and meets the beautiful and vivacious Michal. Rabbi Agamemnon, the leader of the Synagogue of Roman Freemen lines himself up with Simon Magus. Both Adder and Antigonis are subjected to the prophetic curse of their prostitute victim Miriam, a cousin of a witch in the lineage of the Witches of Endor. The story follows the historical events of the era. The myths, mysticism and miracles of the early Church are played upon throughout the story. The author has been scrupulous in the use of authentic historical data, which is the only thing too which he will take pride.

Download or read book The Mystic Ark written by Conrad Rudolph and published by Cambridge University Press. This book was released on 2014-06-09 with total page 655 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this book, Conrad Rudolph studies and reconstructs Hugh of Saint Victor's forty-two-page written work, The Mystic Ark, which describes the medieval painting of the same name. In medieval written sources, works of art are not often referred to, let alone described in any detail. Almost completely ignored by art historians because of the immense difficulty of its text, Hugh of Saint Victor's Mystic Ark (c.1125–30) is among the most unusual sources we have for an understanding of medieval artistic culture. Depicting all time, all space, all matter, all human history and all spiritual striving, this highly polemical painting deals with a series of cultural issues crucial in the education of society's elite during one of the great periods of intellectual change in Western history.
