Book excerpt: In recent years several books about the beginnings of Christianity and/or of Jesus and the disciples have been written. They range from books based mainly upon faith and the gospels to the outlandishly sensational, which barely even suggest that they are based upon actual, documented history. Yet, in one way or another, they all purport to provide the reader with the historical truth. Still, when reading these other works, one finds that they are at best only loosely based upon real history of the time period and they provide little in the way of historical documentation, let alone critical analysis. This book is an exception because it sticks to the cold, hard historical evidence and proceeds where that evidence leads. This important work of historical non-fiction will serve to enhance public understanding of the true origins of Christianity. This book is designed to serve that purpose. It is not meant to offend, but is meant to provoke critical thought and debate.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: After two thousand years of history in which we have faithfully expected the Second Coming of Christ, we have met with recurrent disappointments. Why is that? At the beginning of the end of the ages that is the first century of the Christian era, the apostles and the early Christians were living with the expectation of an imminent return of Christ. Jesus himself was expecting a quick return, but the Father had a different planning. At the end of the first century, the Father revealed to John the content of a scroll with Seven Seals. That scroll outlined the main events that will occur in every century of the Christian era. A thorough review of the manifestations of the Seven Seals in every century is exposed in my book. We also call attention to Gods judgments upon the whole creation in the visible and the invisible worlds. The Apocalypse Revisited introduces us to two realms of reality . It is written to make the symbols , the visions, the personalities and the time-table of historic events accessible to the readers. We should no longer establish dates for events that are kept secret by the Creator . Also some events described in the Apocalypse are already occurring in history. The very end of the cosmos and the earth is not around the corner. It is in the future probably after a thousand year following Armageddon.

Book excerpt: War, famine, and natural disasters.these are the signs of the times that we live in. Today's headlines could have been pulled directly from the book of Revelation in the Bible. The Bible predicted that all of these events would occur in the years leading up to an event commonly known as the Apocalypse. This is the event, prophesied in the Bible, when Jesus Christ will return to earth and take all of his Christian children back to Heaven with him. This event will bring an end to life on earth as we now know it. Christians worldwide are well aware of these facts and prophesies that predict and foreshadow the end times; but, what about the non-Christians, the non-believers? Whether you are a believer or not, this book will point out and explain the signs of the end times that are so prevalent today. It will answer the questions that many people ask themselves; you will be made aware of not only what is going to happen and how it's going to happen, but most importantly, when it's going to happen. You will also learn what you need to do to prepare yourself for this event. Don't worry, it's not too late, there is still time for you to do what you need to do to prepare yourself. This book is a last and final warning to mankind. The evilness of mankind is what has brought us to this point in time. Murder, mayhem, sexual perversion and other crime has taken us down the road to ruin. There is another road, though. A good road and it is possible to get on the good road before it's too late. This book will paint a picture for you. It will paint a picture of the past, a picture of the present and a picture of the future. This picture will help you to understand where we are today in present times and what we need to do to prepare for the future. God is great and wonderful, he has everything waiting for you and time is waiting for you. I have been given a mission. My mission is to set the record straight; the record and the writings of the Bible. I believe some time in the y

For thousands of years this thing has dictated which people should live and which people should die, what shape our buildings should have or what colors our garments should contain, what food people should eat or what words people should speak. If religion is the opium of the masses, then beliefs about the end of the world are like overdoses. People touched by such beliefs no longer rely on a hidden, personal and intimate god, contemplated upon from the safe distance of the beating human heart. They live with the promise of divine intervention at a grand scale on the current coordinates of space and time. This can be an exceptional motivator and a game changer in terms of civil obedience, both at an individual and collective level. In the name of an immediate and palpable deity people can commit shocking cruelties. However, such belief can also account for some of the most exceptional social developments in human history.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: It was hard to categorize The Seven Angels of the Apocalypse. It is fiction based on the truths that loom before us all. Chapter 1 is totally true, as the main character encounters a stigmatic, through a third party, on his 21st birthday ? the day he was to decide about becoming a priest. There are many other truths that manifest themselves throughout this book. The author is able to identify who the angels of the Apocalypse actually are by name, which is very bold, and is able to back these up with Biblical facts, that are thrown into this work. The author spins a web of world events that develop well, with many twists and turns, and in the end, all things come together, in a very climatic scene. Don?t overlook any details given by the author, as there are many covert themes present. He seems to say a lot with few words, as if he trusts the reader?s intelligence. Peter is able to bring these world events to a level that relate to the lives of everyday people, while giving us an insight to the way our world leaders would handle the apocalyptic situations. One point brought up by one of the book?s characters, Pope Peter II, is monumental, "The Bible is the most widely published book ever?why does no one know how it ends?" The insight the author has is straight forward, and Peter does not hesitate to challenge other schools of thought. The "Left Behind" theory is put under scrutiny, and the characters give argument to this widely accepted theory, quite successfully. The Seven Angels of the Apocalypse, is not a long, drawn out novel, which is good, because the readers attention will be so intense, that you just can?t put this book down. This book takes you from today, to the Second Coming. There will be a sequel, The Millennial Reign of Jesus Christ, to take us from the Second Coming to the end of Revelations. Do not read this book before bedtime!

Book excerpt: The laws which relate the modern world to earlier ages, and the position of our own era in a universal time-cycle, are explained in this book in a way which reveals the essential nature of time. It is shown that time imposes patterns of its own on the order of events, which reveal themselves by numerical regularities. By means of a Platonic view of creation, which connects temporal with non-temporal realities, it is shown to be possible to see how man's inner life holds the balance between these two kinds of objective reality. Traditional cosmological doctrines form the background to the ideas presented, which include insights into the power of universal time to realize evil, and how this can be overcome by those who understand it. Both non-Christian and Early Christian sources are also quoted in this connection, to illustrate the universality of the cyclic idea of time. Connections are made between metaphysical ideas of time and the scientific idea of entropy and its varied applications. The cyclic idea of time is used to resolve the apparent conflict between the vast tracts of time which have elapsed before Homo Sapiens and the relatively recent appearance of revealed religion. The last two thousand years are analyzed numerically in terms of traditional cosmology, so as to make it possible to calculate our present position in a universal era, together with the time within which this era will end. Finally, there is a review of the possibility that this ending may coincide with the Last Times, and the implications that this would have for current values and religious beliefs. 'How, when, and why did the world begin? And how will it end? Or is there no ending or beginning? What is infinity, and are such questions merely about illusions? What part does mind play in creation? Are we and the universe programed toward a certain end. . . ? All that can honestly be given in response to such questions is an introduction to that constant and recurrent world-view which this book uniquely provides.' -John Michell Christian Platonism has a long and distinguished history, but few orthodox Catholics have tried to make a serious contribution to this tradition in recent times. Robert Bolton's extraordinary book is just such a contribution. Influenced by Ren Gunon's The Reign of Quantity and the Signs of the Times, and respectful of Tradition, this is a work of great creativity as well as metaphysical intelligence. -Stratford Caldecott, Chesterton Review, Centre for Faith & Culture, Oxford Time, like beauty, is one of the foremost mysteries of human experience. Here Dr. Bolton has taken a deliberate and courageous effort to confront the nature of time. It is like a breath of fresh air to see such care taken to present what can authentically be called the traditional view. 'Recurrence' and 'Never Again' are the poles of this mystery so well and ably covered in this book. Any work that presents the views of such as Plato so well is inevitably going to be of cardinal value-but Dr. Bolton also goes into other wisdom traditions. This may not be easy reading, but what a relief from the mechanically tedious choice between 'Big Bang' and 'Steady State', and whatever else the material mechanists have dreamed up as our only diet for consideration. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: THE EXPLOSIVE EXPOS OF THE BOOK OF REVELATION IN WHICH, FOR ALMOST 2000 YEARS, CHRISTIANS HAVE BEEN FOOLED BY A MONSTROUS DECEPTION.The Apocalypse, also known as the Book of Revelation is the last book of the New Testament. It begins with these words:"The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to show unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw." (Revelation. 1:1, KJV)Those words are not those of Jesus Christ, contrary to the claims of its author. Transmitted through an unnamed angel, they are part of a monstrous deception that has plagued Christianity ever since they were first penned. Furthermore, contrary to popular belief, the Apocalypse was not written by John the Apostle, the son of Zebedee nor is it.This book expands upon the scholary work, "The Apocalypse" written by R.H. Charles in 1920, the famous scholar widely recognised as the greatest authority of his time in matters of Jewish eschatology and apocrypha. His translations of the Book of Enoch and the Testaments of the Twelve Patriarchs especially are still widely used. Do not be deceived. The Apocalypse was rejected for seven hundred years by the churches of Asia Minor, where the book originated, and with good reason. The book of Revelation unleashes a vision of a gore-fest at the End of Time, a relentless apocalyptic nightmare, badly written, repetitive and self-contradictory. In chapter after chapter, it details outlandish horrors, the supposed fate that imminently will befall the enemies of God. As you will discover if you dare to read this book, these are not the words of Jesus. Do not be scared of the horrors described in the Apocalypse, because the prophecies therein described were made by a false prophet and they are completely untrue. Instead, one should rely on the prophecies as told by Jesus in the Gospels and the prophets of the Hebrew scriptures, such as that of Daniel, Ezekiel, Zechariah, Micah and Isaiah to provide the information that we need understand this great event in human history. The Second Coming of Christ and the Kingdom of God. Who then wrote the Apocalypse? He is the same person that John the Elder confronted in the Roman Baths of Ephesus and called "the enemy of the Truth". If as I will show, that the Book of Revelation was written by this person, then clearly, he is an enemy of the Truth, the Apocalypse cannot be included the Christian Canon of the New Testament. Now take heed of a prophecy that Jesus made about a future time after his crucifixion."Watch out that you are not deceived. For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am he,' and, 'The time is near.' Do not follow them." (Luke 21:8)Do not follow anyone who says "the time is near" Jesus says. Do not be deceived he says. Yet this is exactly what the writer of the Apocalypse says."Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this scroll, because the time is near." (Revelation 22:10)As a Christian, as long as you adhere to the words of Jesus and the Apostles recorded in the Gospels and the other writings of the New Testament, then the council of John the Elder, the disciple that Jesus loved and the author of the Fourth Gospel, will serve you well. Quoting the words of Jesus:"If you continue in My word, you are truly My disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.'" (John 8:32)May this book set you free, but this it will not do unless you are willing look past your prejudices, seek the truth and read it. You will not regret it if you do.

Book excerpt: Embracing two thousand years of intense and fiery admonition, "Approaching the Apocalypse" offers students of religion, history and politics the definitive handbook to Doomsday. Ideas about divinely-inspired disaster have an enduring place in the history of Christian thought. For centuries men and women have made preparations for the imminent end of the world, and for the thousand year reign of Christ and his saints. Inspired principally by the startling texts of the "Book of Revelation", Christianity has a rich and varied tradition of looking forward to the purifying fires of Armageddon. But what do recurring motifs like the Rapture, pestilence, biblical prophecy and the building of the New Jerusalem really add up to? And how have interpretations of these patterns differed from century to century?Charting a steady course between the feverish predictions of early Christian heretics like the Montanists, and the febrile outpourings of modern-day millennialists, such as the Branch Davidians and Christian Zionists in America, John M Court explores the continuities and differences between their violent visions of cataclysm. His history comprises an incisive analysis of such movements and figures as the Levellers and Diggers, James Jezreel and his Trumpeters, Seventh-Day Adventists and Jehovah's Witnesses, cargo-cults and drug cultures. "Approaching the Apocalypse" shows why prophecies of plague, earthquake and flame continue to resonate so powerfully in the Christian imagination, and beyond.
