Book excerpt: When Jane Ryan discovers she's pregnant with twin girls, she faces a heart wrenching decision. On her own and unable to afford to care for both babies, she sees no choice but to keep one and give up the other for adoption. But fourteen years later, Jane's decision comes full circle. "Family is everything." It's one of the first things Isabel, the twin Jane gave up, says when they unexpectedly meet. Without warning, she and her adoptive mother have moved to the town where Jane and her daughter, Harper, live. But are they really family? In the throes of a willful adolescence, Harper is as sullen as Isabel is eager to please. Still, the sisters appear to bond quickly--until unsettling things begin to happen. Disturbing pranks, questionable accidents, strange ailments. Are the girls allies, or enemies? Is Harper acting out, or is Isabel not all she seems? Soon, Jane is convinced there is something darker at work than sibling rivalry. But who is to blame, and is this only the beginning? In a novel that is both suspenseful and deeply emotional, Rosalind Noonan explores the complex challenges of motherhood, and of truly knowing what lies in another's heart--even those we love best.

Book Synopsis Another Look at Revelation by : John Tipton
Download or read book Another Look at Revelation written by John Tipton and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2010-11-01 with total page 88 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Book of Revelation is the only book in the Bible that promises a blessing to those who "read and hear the words of this prophecy", yet our nineteenth century interpretation has caused it to be scarcely mentioned in pulpits today. When it is mentioned, it is only referred to as a list of horrors that must be avoided at all cost by sneaking out the back door of the "secret any moment rapture". I don't believe that this is the blessing that God had in mind. This book is an unfolding of the keys to understanding and meaning of the signs and symbols that make up the Revelation that God has led me into through the last four decades. Who would have thought that the answer to the signs and symbols in the book of Revelation are found in the Bible itself.Because of the progressive nature of truth, I believe that God is finally, in this day, unlocking the truth that has the power to change our vision and life forever. This book is by no means the final word on Revelation, but I pray that it will at least point us in the right direction, and be the catalyst for much more illumination of the plan and purpose of God for his people. I believe that any true seeker of the truth will hear the truth bell ring loud and clear as they read and hear the words of this book.

It is clear from the quality of his writing that he has been at this for quite a while. Plenty of exercise for the mind and soul." -Willard Samuel, Adjunct Scholar at Frontiers of Freedom "Greg Rummo is a great writer and a great human being, facts that shine like precious stones in his prolific output. I have trouble not hating him for his talent and energy." -Joe Klock, Sr., Author and Syndicated Columnist "Greg Rummo is one of my heroes. His book masterfully gives a cohesive view of liberal politics and biased media and the impact they have on the American culture. And he does it with engaging evidence." -Thomas Ciesielka, TC Public Relations "By approaching the latest public issues from the angle of religion, informed by Christianity, Gregory Rummo offers an attractive corrective to the assumptions often underlying coverage of stories in mainstream print media. His unashamed point of view can be infuriating . . . for example, to state his case, he often sets up so-called liberals as targets, then dismantles them by his arguments; it is a facile device. But there is much merit to what he says. And he is never mean. Which is high praise indeed." -Charles Saydah, Letters to the Editor, The Record

Book Synopsis Take Another Look by : David Hulse D. D.
Download or read book Take Another Look written by David Hulse D. D. and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2010-04 with total page 170 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: If you are in the process of re-examining old childhood beliefs and have realized there has to be a "more excellent way", this book is for you. With this in mind, I invite you to "Take Another Look" at some of the most important tenants of fundamental Judeo-Christian dogma. We will explore these basic ideas from the cultural context in which they were experienced and written, as well as the influences of the translators. This will take us from a fear-based message to the Gospel, or good news, with a love-based premise. In this day, there are several versions of the Bible. I suggest choosing the version which best suits your understanding of language. II Timothy 2:15 says: Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. The study presented in this book is based on the "Thompson Chain-Reference Bible", "Strong's Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible", the guidance of the inner teacher - the Holy Spirit, and spiritual common sense. The result has challenged much of the second-handed information that has been passed down through Christian patriarchy. This scripture also mentions, "rightly dividing the word of truth". To do this, we need to discern which scriptures are inspired by God and which scriptures contain man's perceptions and hidden political and cultural agenda's. I ask that you listen to your own inner Christ intelligence which is able to lead you into all truth, rather than listening to the feeble attempts of men's voices on the paths that seem right, who are only plunging us into the depths of unanswered questions, ever learning, but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
