Book excerpt: The reactions of animals during UFO sightings may provide clues to the nature of the phenomenon and how to conduct better research. So many sightings occur because the witness was alerted by a dog barking, or barnyard animals making sounds of alarm, but that aspect is usually just a brief mention in reports. Taking a deeper look, we find that all types of animals, from all around the world, share similar experiences to UFOs. Animals have keen senses and don't have an imagination, so their reactions prove that something real is happening. What can we learn from these animal witnesses?

Adding another piece to the puzzle From dissimilar puzzle pieces supplied by ufologists throughout the years of UFO history, a picture is starting to take shape. Ufologist Carl Feindt has not only contributed his own small piece, but he has also connected many of the previous pieces to form an enlightening and highly plausible theory. Feindt's studies concern Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) that enter and exit the dense medium of water. This aspect aroused his curiosity, because while we humans do not understand alien science, we do know our water. This book contains cases from just about every type of body of water, from puddles to oceans. It opens a long-overlooked door to discover the operating principles of UFOs by closely observing water's reaction to these craft and finding similarities among cases involving water.

Book excerpt: This volume represents the first step to a serious study of what is known as the "Chupacabras"-i.e., --"the goat sucker", -- an unfortunate misnomer. It is a neat collection of data which consists of interviews of witnesses; some were obtained first-hand, while others were taken from numerous sources around the globe. This book aims to inform the readers of the investigations and events that took place in Miami in or around 1996 and in the Atacama Desert, in 2000. In these locations, hundreds of domestic animals such as chickens, ducks, doves, dogs, cats, goats, pigs, and even cows were attacked by an unidentified blood sucking predators. During the attacks on the animals, there were also UFOs sightings. In those instances there were also paranormal activities, such as sightings of strange birds, animals, humanoids, Bigfoot, spontaneous fires, poltergeists, men in black, suicides, and other incidents. In this volume, readers will also find physical evidence that we have secured such as footprints, hair samples, and results from a laboratory regarding a strange tooth that was found in a skull of an unknown creature. We hope all of the presented materials and the data from our field investigation will be a useful reference for others investigators.

Book excerpt: Without question, this is a classic by one of the most exciting new authors in the UFO field today. After reading it, your view of reality will never be the same. The owl has held a place of reverence and mystique throughout history. And as strange as this might seem, owls are also showing up in conjunction with the UFO experience.Mike Clelland has collected a wealth of first-hand accounts in which owls manifest in the highly charged moments that surround alien contact. There is a strangeness to these accounts that defy simple explanations. This book explores implications that go far beyond what more conservative researchers would dare consider. But the owl connection encompasses more than the UFO experience. It also includes profound synchronicities, ancient archetypes, dreams, shamanistic experiences, personal transformation, and death. From the mythic legends of our ancient past to the first-hand accounts of the UFO abductee, owls are playing some vital role. This is also a deeply personal story. It is an odyssey of self-discovery as the author grapples with his own owl and UFO encounters. What plays out is a story of transformation with the owl at the heart of this journey.

Book excerpt: Television producer-director-writer Linda Moulton Howe received her Masters Degree from Stanford University with a focus on science, medicine & the environment. When animals, especially cattle & horses, were found throughout the world in the 1970s with the same pattern of bizarre, bloodless excisions of tissue, she investigated the story as an environmental contamination until eyewitness testimonies forced her to confront the possibility that non-human intelligences are interacting with us, our animals & our plant life. The result was her 1980 Emmy Award-winning documentary A STRANGE HARVEST. A decade later, Howe has synthesized her research & contacts with alleged government insiders in AN ALIEN HARVEST. One Air Force intelligence officer told her: "That documentary you did upset some people in Washington. They don't want animal mutilations & UFOs connected together in the public's mind." REVIEWS: "This book comes as close as any yet toward boring right into the heart of what the UFO mystery has become... By following Linda Howe's odyssey through an American West littered by the carcasses of mutilated livestock, by discovering with her the distinct UFO connection to these mutilations which have not gone away by any means, & by becoming involved with the U.S. government itself to the point of being shown a briefing paper prepared for none less than the President of the U.S., you will learn what UFOlogy is REALLY about now some 42 years after its arrival into our consciousness. The book has the impact of a runaway freight train."--Bob Girard, Arcturus Books. "If seeing is believing, then here's what you've been looking for: a large format, 476 page volume with many graphic color pictures."--Martin Burkey, The Huntsville Times. Yet rather than taking a realistic approach to what aliens might be like, we imagine that life on other planets is the stuff of science fiction. The time has come to abandon our fantasies of space invaders and movie monsters and place our expectations on solid scientific footing. Using his own expert understanding of life on Earth and Darwin's theory of evolution--which applies throughout the universe--Cambridge zoologist Dr. Arik Kershenbaum explains what alien life must be like: how these creatures will move, socialize, and communicate. Might there be an alien planet with supersonic animals? A moon where creatures have a language composed of smells? Will aliens scream with fear, act honestly, or have technology? The Zoologist's Guide to the Galaxy answers these questions using the latest science to tell the story of how life really works, on Earth and in space.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Occult Significance of UFO'S: No doubt one of the greatest mysteries to emerge from the latter half of the twentieth century has been the subject of UFO's. The questions on everyone's lips at the moment are: Do flying saucers really exist? And has our earth at any time been visited by extra-terrestrials? In this book, Dr. Douglas M. Baker, an investigator into the phenomena of UFO's for more than 25 years, states conclusively that yes, our Earth has indeed been visited by extra-terrestrials from as far back as 18 million years ago, with the advent of the "Lords of the Flame" He goes on to say that although many of the sightings can be explained away by science as simple natural occurrences, there remain the few isolated incidents which defy all present scientific means of interpretation. To these, Dr. Baker attributes the various occult factors he describes here.

The master chronology is an incredibly complete listing, which also refers the reader to pertinent sections in the book for fuller descriptions.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: When United Airlines workers reported a UFO at O'Hare Airport in November 2006, it was met with the typical denials and hush-up that usually accompany such sightings. But when a related story broke the record for hits at the Chicago Tribune's website, it was clear that such unexplained objects continued to occupy the minds of fascinated readers. Why, wonders Thomas Bullard, don't such persistent sightings command more urgent attention from scientists, scholars, and mainstream journalists? The answer, in part, lies in Bullard's wide-ranging magisterial survey of the mysterious, frustrating, and ever-evolving phenomenon that refuses to go away and our collective efforts to understand it. In his trailblazing book, Bullard views those efforts through the lens of mythmaking, discovering what UFO accounts tell us about ourselves, our beliefs, and the possibility of visitors from beyond. Bullard shows how ongoing grassroots interest in UFOs stems both from actual personal experiences and from a cultural mythology that defines such encounters as somehow "alien"-and how it views relentless official denial as a part of conspiracy to hide the truth. He also describes how UFOs have catalyzed the evolution of a new but highly fractured belief system that borrows heavily from the human past and mythic themes and which UFO witnesses and researchers use to make sense of such phenomena and our place in the cosmos. Bullard's book takes in the whole spectrum of speculations on alien visitations and abductions, magically advanced technologies, governmental conspiracies, varieties of religious salvation, apocalyptic fears, and other paranormal experiences. Along the way, Bullard investigates how UFOs have inspired books, movies, and television series; blurred the boundaries between science, science fiction, and religion; and crowded the Internet with websites and discussion groups. From the patches of this crazy quilt, he posits evidence that a genuine phenomenon seems to exist outside the myth. Enormously erudite and endlessly engaging, Bullard's study is a sky watcher's guide to the studies, stories, and debates that this elusive subject has inspired. It shows that, despite all the competing interests and errors clouding the subject, there is substance beneath the clutter, a genuinely mysterious phenomenon that deserves attention as more than a myth.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book explores the long history of military encounters with UFOs, revealing hidden incidents of dogfights, nuclear interference, and mysterious confrontations with unidentified aerial phenomena. Military bodies across the world have encountered, experimented with and even had ‘combat’ with UFOs, or as the U.S. military now define them Unidentifiable Aerial Phenomenon, or UAPs. These observations and engagements have occurred since ancient times, and on all continents. Different nations and cultures have had vastly different analyzes of the UFO/UAP phenomenon, from the Roman Empire to Nazi Germany, and the Soviet Union and Communist China to the Western democracies. The UFO/UAP phenomenon has not diminished and has, in fact, grown in proportion in recent years, and has now assumed the mantle of legitimacy in government circles, the media, and among the general public. What is less well-known or even concealed are the encounters that the military have had with UFOs – some of which have even proved fatal to the terrestrials concerned. There were reported dogfights with UFOs and German aircraft in the First World War and in the Second World War reports of what became known as ‘Foo Fighters’ became commonplace. However, it was after the war that UFO sightings increased exponentially, amongst which was a ‘dogfight’ with a Mustang P-51 and a UFO in October 1948, and two years later, for two consecutive weekends in 1952, UFOs hovered over Washington, D.C. Attempts were made by the U.S. Air Force to intercept the strange craft but were outrun by the UFOs. UFOs/UAPs may have tampered with world nuclear forces – including shutting down strategic missiles of the United States and, conversely, activating Soviet ICBMs, almost setting off an unordered (by Soviet authorities) launching of atomic warheads against the United States. UFOs may also have ‘returned fire’ against American military forces during the Vietnam War, sending projectiles back at patrol boats that had been fired by those military river craft at UFOs hours or days before. United States Air Force personnel, including a Lieutenant Colonel, also encountered UFOs on the ground and in the air at Rendlesham USAF/RAF base in the UK in 1980. UFOs have played ‘cat-and-mouse’ games with the latest fighter-bombers of the United States Navy since 2004, and these events have been captured on videotape, and are verified to have occurred by the pilots themselves. As readers will discover from the mass of evidence presented in this book, it is no longer a question of whether UFOs exist or not, and that not only are such phenomenon an incontrovertible fact but that the United States has crafted plans on how to resist an alien invasion. But is there any need for us humans to be concerned about the alien presence in the skies that surround our planet? Yes, be very concerned.
