Book Synopsis La Modélisation multidimensionnelle des écoulements dans les moteurs by : Thierry Baritaud
Download or read book La Modélisation multidimensionnelle des écoulements dans les moteurs written by Thierry Baritaud and published by Editions TECHNIP. This book was released on 1999 with total page 212 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: With an increasingly challenging commercial environment, and the need imposed by safety principles to reduce both fuel consumption and pollutant emissions, the development of new engines can now benefit from the advances of computational fluid dynamics. Engine CFD is a most challenging simulation problem. This is caused by the spread of time and space scales, the excursion amplitude of most parameters, the high quasi-cyclic unstationarity of engine flows, the importance of minor geometry details, the number of physical and chemical processes including turbulent combustion and multi-phase flows to model. However, engine CFD has now reached a state where it has become a widely used tool, not only for engine understanding, but also increasingly for engine design. Undoubtedly, laser diagnostics in optical access engines have also brought significant help.Contents: 1. State of the art of multi-dimensional modeling of engine reacting flows. 2. Simulation of the intake and compression strokes of a motored 4-valve SI engine with a finite element code. 3. A parallel, unstructured-mesh methodology for device-scale combustion calculations. 4. Large-eddy simulation of in-cylinder flows. 5. Simulation of engine internal flows using digital physics. 6. Automatic block decomposition of parametrically changing volumes. 7. Developments in spray modeling in diesel and direct-injection gasoline engines. 8. Cyto-fluid dynamic theory of atomization processes. 9. Influence of the wall temperature on the mixture preparation in DI gasoline engines. 10. Simulation of cavitating flows in diesel injectors. 11. Recent developments in simulations of internal flows in high pressure swirl injectors. 12. 3D simulation of DI diesel combustion and pollutant formation using a two-component reference fuel. 13. Modeling of NOx and soot formation in diesel combustion. 14. Multi-dimensional modeling of combustion and pollutants formation of new technology light duty diesel engines. 15. 3D modeling of combustion for DI-SI engines. 16. Combustion modeling with the G-equation. 17. Multi-dimensional modeling of the aerodynamic and combustion in diesel engines. 18. CFD aided development of a SI-DI engine. 19. Download or read book Modélisation et commande avancées d'un moteur diésel à injection directe written by Pierre Dupraz and published by . This book was released on 1998 with total page 120 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: CETTE THESE ABORDE LE PROBLEME GENERAL DE LA MODELISATION ET DE LA COMMANDE EN COUPLE D'UN MOTEUR DIESEL A INJECTION DIRECTE EQUIPE D'UN SYSTEME D'INJECTION DE TYPE COMMON RAIL. LE COUPLE FOURNI PAR LE MOTEUR N'ETANT PAS MESURE SUR UN VEHICULE DE SERIE, ON CHERCHE A L'ESTIMER A PARTIR DE LA VITESSE DE ROTATION INSTANTANEE, SANS CONNAITRE LE COUPLE RESISTANT. AU PREALABLE, UN TRAVAIL DE MODELISATION EST DONC NECESSAIRE. EN EFFET, LE SYSTEME D'INJECTION COMMON RAIL EST RELATIVEMENT RECENT ET OFFRE DE NOUVEAUX MODES DE FONCTIONNEMENT, COMME LA PRE-INJECTION OU LA POST-INJECTION. OR LES MODELES DE MOTEUR POUR LA COMMANDE DISPONIBLES DANS LA LITTERATURE NE SAVENT PAS DECRIRE CES TYPES DE FONCTIONNEMENT, NOTAMMENT LE DEGAGEMENT DE CHALEUR. ENSUITE, UNE STRATEGIE DE COMMANDE EST MISE AU POINT, QUI MESURE ET CORRIGE LES DIFFERENCES DE COUPLE CYLINDRE A CYLINDRE. LA CONSEQUENCE EST UNE REDUCTION DES VIBRATIONS DU MOTEUR. FINALEMENT, L'ESTIMATION DU COUPLE LUI-MEME EST ABORDEE. UN MODELE PARAMETRIQUE EST CONSTRUIT, ET PERMET DE FORMALISER UN CERTAIN NOMBRE DE CONNAISSANCES EMPIRIQUES ET D'OBTENIR UN PREMIER ESTIMATEUR. ON MONTRE QUE SA PRECISION EST RELATIVEMENT SENSIBLE AUX ERREURS DE MODELISATION ET AU BRUIT DE MESURE, CE QUI EN LIMITE L'APPLICABILITE A CE JOUR. DES VOIES D'AMELIORATIONS POSSIBLES SONT PROPOSEES, SOUS LA FORME D'UN CERTAIN NOMBRE D'AXES DE RECHERCHE FUTURS.
Book Synopsis Common Rail System for GDI Engines by : Giovanni Fiengo
Download or read book Common Rail System for GDI Engines written by Giovanni Fiengo and published by Springer. This book was released on 2012-11-02 with total page 81 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Progressive reductions in vehicle emission requirements have forced the automotive industry to invest in research and development of alternative control strategies. Continual control action exerted by a dedicated electronic control unit ensures that best performance in terms of pollutant emissions and power density is married with driveability and diagnostics. Gasoline direct injection (GDI) engine technology is a way to attain these goals. This brief describes the functioning of a GDI engine equipped with a common rail (CR) system, and the devices necessary to run test-bench experiments in detail. The text should prove instructive to researchers in engine control and students are recommended to this brief as their first approach to this technology. Later chapters of the brief relate an innovative strategy designed to assist with the engine management system; injection pressure regulation for fuel pressure stabilization in the CR fuel line is proposed and validated by experiment. The resulting control scheme is composed of a feedback integral action and a static model-based feed-forward action, the gains of which are scheduled as a function of fundamental plant parameters. The tuning of closed-loop performance is supported by an analysis of the phase-margin and the sensitivity function. Experimental results confirm the effectiveness of the control algorithm in regulating the mean-value rail pressure independently from engine working conditions (engine speed and time of injection) with limited design effort.

Book Synopsis Commande multivariable de la pression d'injection dans un moteur diesel Common Rail by : Christophe Gauthier
Download or read book Commande multivariable de la pression d'injection dans un moteur diesel Common Rail written by Christophe Gauthier and published by . This book was released on 2007 with total page 206 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
