They discovered their flair for music through an amazing musical performance at their prom party. Despite offers from the top universities, they chose music as their career path. Their career started in a piano bar where every performance of theirs was unique. There, Michael met Hilda, who bore him a child and died right after giving birth. Michael named his son Fleury, who was dying to find someone to call “Mom.” Later on, Fleury and Michael—while playing in a park—found Melody to complete their family. But soon after, Michael was innocently thrown in jail for trying to save a life, and Melody was taken away from Fleury due to a terrible accident. Meanwhile, Fleury, a master brain who became a lawyer, salvaged his father.

However, the readers will soon discover that the book is rich in its content far beyond the editors' original plan. It serves as a reader for people with various levels of missiological interest and competence and deals with cutting-edge issues in missions. This book introduces a new paradigm, Kingdom Missiology, which builds on shalom in the Old Testament and as Jesus applied to the Kingdom of God in the New Testament. The first half of the book looks at Kingdom Missiology from the biblical, historical, and cultural dimensions. The second half of the book describes helpful strategies in the implementation of this paradigm. The importance of urban ministry is woven throughout the book. Book excerpt: The parable of the Bula man-river is the story of the miraculous life God promises man from the beginning. By creating man in His own likeness, He forever placed man on a path of living the miraculous life. He is divine and we are mortal, and whenever the two intersect, miracles happen. As humans, it’s impossible for man to experience the glory of God’s divine Being, so he experiences miracles – the divine spark. Miracles are foretastes of man’s future in the glorious presence of God. It’s a life of unimaginable, awe-inspiring wonder, both now and future. From the beginning, Adam and Eve experienced this miraculous life firsthand. God lovingly and miraculously planted them a garden-home which had all the resources for their survival and happiness. God did not point to a jungle and charged Adam with planting a garden himself. No, God planted it with His own hands. This miraculous life was man’s destiny from the start, and continues to this day. The whole earth, hanging in the blackness of space, is the larger Edenic home we all share as co-inhabitants of it. But man fails to respond with gratitude to “dress and keep it.” Lost in the jungle of his own narcissistic ‘self,’ man seeks for life’s answers which only the “BULA” man-river can supply. For those who change into the likeness of God’s love, God leads them to a new Eden. This is where the miraculous life is lived as naturally as breathing. This is what this book is about – miracles! It begins with the life of the “BULA” man-river! He is the product of God’s love. It begins with love-gifts from the Father which form the substance of the three-dimensional life of the “BULA” man-river – the Miracle Man. Read about the two wonderful love-gifts of the Father.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The grace of God functions subtly and often through very simple human actions. For one who will listen for God's voice, the result can be miraculous. Grace Across the River is about God's grace and how He uses people to reach out and draw us to Him. Grace, the main character, finds herself right in the middle of God's plan for a little town called Riverside, where she is led to open a multipurpose shop called The Seven Species. In this prophetic allegory, there are themes of both the land and people of Israel running throughout, but the narrative also focuses on the spiritual realities that the Promised Land represents, revealing that the Kingdom of God is real and experiential. The book begins with an old key that opens the door to Grace's ancestral home, and as the story unfolds, it addresses victory over fears, emotional recovery and physical healing. God is always wanting to restore. He wants us to know this and believe it without a doubt.

Book excerpt: Ruth Livingstone's life changes drastically the day her father puts a young child in her arms and sends her to a small village in New Jersey under an assumed name. There Ruth pretends to be a widow and quietly secludes herself until her father is acquitted of a crime. But with the emergence of the penny press, the imagination of the reading public is stirred, and her father's trial stands center stage. Asher Tripp is the brash newspaperman who determines that this case is the event he can use to redeem himself as a journalist. Ruth finds solace tending a garden along the banks of the Toms River--a place where she can find a measure of peace in the midst of the sorrow that continues to build. It is also here that Asher Tripp finds a temporary residence, all in an attempt to discover if the lovely creature known as Widow Malloy is truly Ruth Livingstone, the woman every newspaper has been looking for. Love begins to slowly bloom...but is the affection they share strong enough to withstand the secrets that separate them?

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: For his first foray into fiction after his FBI memoir James Botting jumps into what he knows best, a collection of gritty police procedural short stories based on thirty years as an FBI agent and police officer. Not for those with a weak stomach or a strong sense of morality, his blunt copspeak, unforgiving descriptions of the players, black humor and surprise endings will keep the reader turning the pages looking for justice that sometimes fails to show up. A senior citizen with a diabolical homicide plan for her husband, ex-cons bumbling an armored truck robbery, kidnapping at an interstate rest stop, a homicide suspect who beats the cops at their own game, a fly fishing excursion turned into a nightmare of revelation and tragedy, a bus ride from hell, a pair of rogue cops who turn a street robbery from bad to worse and then to much worse, a high riding CEO living (and dying) with a secret, a mind numbing letter that sucks the life out of youliterally, and the slow motion death of a marriage. The anchor story follows a band of homeless outcastsdrunks, dopers and dealers, hookers, thieves, child molesters, schizos, and a human IEDliving beneath the grid in the river bottom desperately trying to survive. These wounded and broken souls, who live each day on the edge of danger and death, are as amazing as rats and cockroaches in their adaptability and resiliency. Its hard not to take sides and hope one or the other will make it. Botting, who seems to have a penchant for losers, uncovers a world of human conflict, violence and tragedy that most of us, thankfully, will never experience. You may feel a little voyeuristic and uncomfortable but its impossible to look away from the human train wrecks found in these stories.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The first English translation of a major European literary figure and Nobel Prize nominee's most significant work of prose to date, this tense, cerebral, fascinating novel is the perfect introduction to Kaplinski A semi-autobiographical Bildungsroman, set in the early 1960s, this novel narrates the efforts of Kaplinski's youthful alter ego to lose his innocence and attain sexual and mystical knowledge. The 20-year-old protagonist finds an unofficial teacher in a retired theologian and poet, who is out of favor with the communist authorities. After a summer spent in intellectual and erotic soul-searching, the sexual and political intrigues finally overlap, leading to a quasi-solution. As KGB and university apparatchiks take a close interest in the relation of the two poets, the student outgrows his mentor, who despite accusing the human race of puerility, turns out to be a big and jealous child himself. This novel is seen by many as one of the crowning achievements of a long (and still-flourishing) career in Estonia, but this is the first time this unique work will be widely available in English.
